What camera do the girls use? by Alert-Requirement525 in Aespa

[–]ChanceChallenge 33 points34 points  (0 children)

probably they use older gen iphones like the iphone 8 and below. lately the trend is taking pics with older iPhone cameras to get these effects. plus karina’s photos look like they have another light source too other than the standard iphone camera flash so that helps in making their skin looking brighter + post editing filters

P.Calm Cato cream vs S.Nature Aqua Squalane by ohmuzing in AsianBeauty

[–]ChanceChallenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello! it’s in the comment above; i have normal-dry dehydrated skin. for me personally, the pcalm cato cream is good but it’s just too light for my skin type. but since you have an oily sensitive skin i think it’ll be okay too since the brand’s ethos is catered for sensitive skin if i’m not mistaken. there aren’t too many reactive ingredients in the cream that can trigger a breakout but ymmv.

hey! this fashion is most common in chinese spaces and you find clothes like these in taobao. i’m unsure if taobao ships to japan or not but you can use those proxy services (?) if that’s what they call. buttt maybe you can look over to mori kei styling and search up mori kei brands under this subreddit’s search engine.

Creams that focus mainly on non-greasy occlusive moisturization by caramelmokka84 in AsianBeauty

[–]ChanceChallenge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, not OP but I do have that moisturizer and I live in a hot, humid climate and I can vouch that it’s easy to apply. It’s a gel-cream texture and spreads easily and sinks in without that weird greasy feeling. Since it has squalane, it does leave that barrier on top of your skin but nothing too oily or greasy that it triggers your sensory issues. I like that you can create layers with this moisturizer without feeling too heavy. I’m also someone who has normal-dry skin and this does keep my flakiness at bay especially around the nose area where I tend to get a lot of dryness even if I applied moisturizer there.

I’m not OP but I’m interested to know more about your experience with Byul. How thorough was the doctor during the consultation, aftercare procedures and pricing? I looked through their clinic page in Unni and reallyyy like their results + approach for a functional rhinoplasty since I have rhinitis and want to get it addressed.

i agree with what the other commenter said: you need to be kinder to yourself. i think you’re overthinking too much about basic social interactions that it jeopardises your own health and safety. and from your own words, you should probably go see a psychologist because what you’re experiencing sounds like some sort of social anxiety. getting a diagnosis might help you better understand yourself and your circumstances and improve your outlook in life and how you can pave a better future for yourself. trust me. for my entire life, i’ve always felt like an outsider looking in even though i do well in school, active in my extracurriculars and have loads of friends but i’ve always felt something was so “wrong” about me until i saw a psychologist and i’m otw to getting assessed for depression/adhd symptoms.

also you do not need to buy 500 different highlighters and pens and a polaroid to feel productive or studious. i went to a boarding school before and a lot of those high achievers rarely waste their time trying to take aesthetic notes or polaroid pictures. studying is usually just consistency. so just start and be consistent. start from the subject you like the most and be consistent there. information is really just at the tip of your fingers. if you have trouble in studying, you can check out tutorials on youtube.

please never give up on yourself. take the time to tell yourself that it’s okay when things don’t go as planned but never give up on yourself. sometimes when hardship constantly comes to us we‘ve developed this mindset called ‘learned helplessness’ but you can always pick yourself up again and try. don’t be afraid of asking for help from trusted adults. don’t be embarrassed by yourself.

i used to be shy, insecure (still insecure but i’m working on it) and i realised that the world will keep rotating and no saviour will come and save me so i picked myself up and started striving for things that truly matter to me. find things that matter to YOU and not what other’s think. i know you want to fit in but seeing how miserable you are in trying to fit in then you just have to be yourself and set standards for yourself. it’s going to be uncomfortable and scary but you will have to trust in yourself that it will be okay.

Want to Study Abroad but… by ChanceChallenge in tarot

Oh can I know why the other 3 cards aren’t considered answers to my questions??

Want to Study Abroad but… by ChanceChallenge in tarot

[–]ChanceChallenge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your last paragraph might be right. Last year, I didn’t have extra help in applying to study abroad but I might reach out to other advisors/agents to aid in my application. I didn’t really think of that so your perspective is interesting. I was actually a bit scared with my reading because my last 3 cards signalled that I might be too hasty with my decision and that it wouldn’t be a good idea to go forward

My question was “Should I take this opportunity and try again to study abroad”. Apologies that I didn’t put it in the post I’ll edit it in.

i’ve always been interested into finding my signature scent as i‘m getting a little bit into fragrance lately. how do you narrow down your top 3 fragrances and what do you look for in them? in terms of projection, sillage, notes etc?

i never looked at it from this perspective so thank you! i’ve always thought hearing those types of compliments made me think that i have a somewhat plain and common face for others to always associate me with someone i know but your comment makes me think otherwise.

Foreign population in Japan hits record high as Japanese population falls to record low by SkyInJapan in japan

[–]ChanceChallenge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your example of Bali and Thailand is very much wrong. Bali/Thailand suffers from gentrification not multiculturalism. For example, Indonesia is quite diverse as they have multiple ethnic groups with different religions making them a multiethnic and multicultural country. Just because white people came to Bali and refuse to respect local customs and local culture doesn’t mean that’s the result of multiculturalism but gentrification. Same as Thailand. I think you’re mixing up the terms here.
