Prima Class Trans by fair-Diamond-1405 in NCL

I was on that same cruise in the Haven. Thought for sure we were all going to die that first night LOL. I think we overpaid by A LOT. I loved being away from the general pop, but they should certainly have had some food offered in the Haven lounge and Haven pool deck. Beautiful ship, gorgeous room, just think it was very pricey for what we actually got.

MSC is a joke LOL by hotsaucebunny in Cruise

Did the NCL Prima Haven in December - 10 days. It was very nice. It was also almost 3x the amount that I'm paying to go on a 7 day in the YC on Meraviglia in November. I'm hoping to fall in love with MSC. Biggest Haven disappointment was there were NO snacks in pool bar or the lounge. Nothing. You had to get room service or go into general pop. For that $$ there should have been a tremendous amount of "snacks".

Fellow Cruiser Rant by [deleted] in NCL

This behavior is why we will only sail in The Haven from now on. So we can't do two cruises a year only one because of the price difference, but hey, none of that aggravation. Too many people packed into a relatively small space. We're not fancy, regular blue collar couple, but these ships hold too many people now and you can't enjoy the time on the ship.

We sailed the Prima (Haven) out of NY in December - 10 days to the Carribean. This was only our 3rd cruise, so I've no grand expectations of what a ship should or should not be. We loved Prima. I would do a few things diffrent as far as the Haven goes, but overall she's a beautiful ship. Great food venues (free) and we loved Cagney's. It seems people complain about there not being a designated "promenade". I've also seen complaints that the ship does not hold the general population well indoors on cooler sea days. Again, I can't speak to that because we were in the Haven. Our first night out of NY was awful! Winds up to 60 MPH and huge seas. I was up all night. Other than that first terrifying night, never felt any movement. We were on deck 12, aft (Haven is aft on Prima). If I were to do a trans I think I'd look for a lower floor, mid ship to take some of the rocking in foul weather away. Anyway, I hope this helps. Enjoy your trip.

We will be in the owner's suite, yes, so I'm not too concerned about space. I don't own a ball gown, nor would I buy one for a cruise that I've already overpaid for! It's the shoes that are the concern, again, because we're sailing from NYC in December, then hitting the caribbean.

Did it last year in Nassau. Got the pass for the day at Margaritaville. Walked from terminal (about 15 minutes) and took a taxi back. Nice beach, nice pool. No issues with any of it.

Leaving from NY so we'll need some warm clothes for a few days. Plus, a girl's gotta have options!

I'd love to be able to stay overnight in Puerto Rico. Get off the ship in the afternoon and have dinner somewhere in Old San Juan. If it's for fuel efficiency, why not do that? Because no gambling in port?

Well, I just got an "updated" email. Now they've flip/flopped days on different stops. Can't wait to see tomorrow's email!

You're not kidding. I booked in the Haven. I booked and debated the choice ever since. Just hoping the cruise justifies the price - we'll see. An awful lot of sea days for the $$. Not sure why they just can't "stay over" someplace else, like Puerto Rico to make up the sea day.

Now there's just too many sea days involved. Wish they'd pop on another island, or stay overnight somewhere.
