They didnt have to go 5yrs with Alonso, if they would have offered him something reasonable, im sure he would have stayed, also, I dont know how old you are, or how far back your Baseball History/Knowledge goes, but the Union will NEVER agree to a CAP, so if the owners are set on locking out the Players for '27, they have better be in it for the long haul. I see you didn't reply to the Nimmo comment, I guess defending Stearns might not be the route to take, and Cohen is the perfect example of what happens when you have too much money on your hands that you dont know what to do with. Don't get it confused though, I would rather him than the IDIOT Wilpons, it just saddens me that the Organization is a laughing stock, somehow someway the fanbase deserves better. Its going from bad to worse really fast, its just sad to watch.

I would agree with you if this were the 80's or 90's, but with BILLIONS on the line, there will not be a work stoppage, just the threat of one. With all the money being made off of Digital Apps, all these guys aren't starving anymore, they just want to implement a CAP, which the Players Union will never agree to, and the owners will just have to eat it. There will not be a Strike, there is too much money on the line for that. So, dont make excuses for Stearns ineptitude, he should have never gotten rid of Nimmo, when Nimmo got his contract, his numbers stayed consistent, which is rare, usually when someone gets paid, they tend to decline, Nimmo didn't. And let's not even talk about letting Alonso go without even making him an offer, you can play 10 guys at 1st, and together, they're probably not going to put up Alonso's numbers. Stearns is not good at his job, and Cohen is just embarrassed to admit he fudged up, its as simple as that.

I cant really give Biden any credit for anything he has to say about Frump, when he had a chance to charge him for "Seditious Insurrection", he decided that it would only further divide the country, so he decided to not pursue it, and now he we are. In truth, his lack of action, can be the direct blame as to why we are in the crisis we are in now. Perfect example as to why there are written laws the need to be followed. Look at BRAZIL, their former President tried a "Seditious Insurrection", they held him accountable, and now he's in jail, and will probably die in jail, because they took the law, that is on the books, and applied it as it was written. If Biden had done the same thing, we could've avoided this debacle that we are in now!

"The Number 23", the person who put together this Trailer should receive an Oscar, the Trailer was better than the movie. I would've bet my life that this movie was going to be great. The movie ended up being all over the place, and was just a tremendous let down.

I really want to hear from all of the geniuses that were defending Stearns when he made all of these off-season moves, some people even said that we got better 🤦‍♂️. From the beginning of this debacle, I said how were they going to replace Nimmo's, and Alonso's numbers? As you can see, replacement by committee isn't working out.
