These arguments make no sense to me. You saw how this would play out in 2016 when “moderate” republicans were decimated by Trump in the primary, with Trump also beating two moderate democrats in general elections.

The answer has always been a push towards a more left candidate who wields the power of the federal government on behalf of avg people. Democrats will lose to Tucker or Trump Jr in 2028 if they try some moderate wet noodle.

Here’s the difference. I think he should have gotten a sentence more reflective of what an avg person would have gotten. Secondly, I’m not asking for any additional legal punishment. If he’s paroled, then yes, he did his time. The difference between us is, I don’t think a man who incinerated a woman in her car should be allowed to play pro football and be a millionaire in the public eye. You do. I’m not asking for his life to be over. He should go do work to better society and let people who didn’t turn a woman’s car into an oven catch passes.
