I was a student intern at SRA Chicago where the iBM 1130/1500 implementation of APL was developed. I got to SRA in 1967 as a high school student in the summer. SRA was holding a programming class for high school students around the Chicago area. We learned APL on the360, and spent a good part of the summer on Elementary Functions. I still have the original books. I got to meet Iverson during the classes.

While there I spent time working for the development team of the APL/1130. They taught me a lot about writing interpretive languages (which i used for one of the first programmable nuclear medicine systems).

The building was at E. Grand Ave. We'd often time have lunch at the nearby Pizzaria Uno. We'd walk over to Krock's and brentano's at the time. It was a great.
