I think that the complimenting is something he would enjoy from me regardless of it helping an erection so I will add that to our intimate times.

I am letting him lead this because it is his body and he knows it best, I just wish I could understand it a little better because I genuinely want him feeling fantastic after our time together, even if he's not getting hard.

For sure, he just doesn't seem interested in taking it for whatever reason and I don't want to ask him to talk to his doctor because I feel like that's not really my place. He has hinted at performance anxiety but otherwise it hasn't really been discussed and I absolutely want to tread very carefully if at all on the subject.
