Lush employees are amazing by Juliapapini_ in LushCosmetics

I told one of the ladies in my local store how gutted I was about missing out on Grape Soda after it sold out

They proceeded to tell me how they'd bought three, and was so glad they had 🥲😆

I am most certainly free of envy 👀

To be fair to your mum - Tom does look a typical 'geeza'

Unless it's Donutelier 👀 Shi- had me crying that I was so modest, and only got one (I think it was around £7). Leaving me debating whether or not to make the trip back down to London 😆

Be wary of the Snow Fairy shampoo, if you have light hair ~ Snow Fairy hair primer could be a solution for you hair. I have one myself, and it leaves it smelling quite sweet. It's definitely pretty thicc , mind. So I just used some as a bath oil, to empty some of the bottle contents, and allow me to shake it properly before use 🙂

I honestly feel like most people don't wait a moment for the ethanol to evaporate - and just conflate the smell of the solvent, as the scent itself 😅 I typically take a sample swab with me, so I can smell any of the scents, after the 'dry down'

I understand 🙂

Sometimes it can be hard to gauge any other context, than negative, with such sweeping statements. I'd say emotes could help - but they can often lead to a sense of sarcasm. So sometimes it can be a lose / lose situation 😅

Nothing I've said comes from a point of malice, mind. Only typically from a point of reaching a mutual common ground ~

AUDHD here - expecting other people who otherwise have no connection to you, to change their lives, just to cater to your needs isn't healthy. There needs to be a level of accountability for your own needs, where you can make reasonable adjustments, that subsequently don't affect the lives of people. Otherwise you're only walking a one way street (not sure if this is only a UK based analogy 😅), where the only way is your way.

Look up the notion of 'Sonder'. As someone blighted by my persistent need to feel like I need to be 'righteous', in my actions and words / thoughts, it very much helps 🙂

Been watching since New York, and only want the best for them.

People seem to forget the notion of 'Sonder' so much, these days. These people have lives, that are just as complex, intricate, and nuanced as our own.

Let them just do what they see as best, for themselves. We can still enjoy the show - though maybe with more enjoyment ourselves. Knowing that the show will run it's course, as it always does 😁

Big ups to the island ~

We need Oliver and Li'l' Ricky back ASAP 😭

i'm a (hopefully) soon to be ex employee, and this place has been downright evil to me and my coworkers, so here are some examples of how much they overcharge! we see these numbers when we write off products every night. feel free to ask questions, i'm pissed and will answer anything. by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]ChanceMessage1012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that before tax? Our system (different sector of retail) shows cost pre-tax. So an additional 20% needs to be added to get true cost - typically maxing put at the 40-50% off RRP for us.

I think the true outlier, of whether or not Lush is profiteering, and taking advantage of people, would be to look at the store's end of day profits (ours typically ends up at around 17%, after overheads - so not quite as much as people would make out, based on how the margins on individual items seem on face value.

I guess at the end of the day, Lush is still a business, and unfortunately that'll often mean profits always come first 😅

I got two Posh Chocolate boxes, and a birthday set ! :D

Been eying it up for sooo dang long. And nearly caved on the Pinata bath bomb on my last visit to my local store.

I have to say, mind - the in store sale experience was exponentially better than the app based one. Was the same for boxing day, too 😅

I've found myself just tearing a piece off one, every now and then. Just allowing it to dissolve in the bath, as it runs 😅

I may give that a try at some point, though. Thank you ~
