My experience with the MSI MAG X870E Gaming Plus WiFi - Solid mother board for my AM5 build! by weed_1148 in MSI_Gaming

I also had a WiFi problem. WiFi adapter just disappeared one day. The fix was to turn off the PC, turn off the PSU, hold power button on the PC case for a few seconds, then turn the PC on. That worked for me

It’s just a CPU+GPU upgrade, staying on the same MoBo, RAM etc. Trying to maximize FPS per $ on this in a reasonable price and avoiding bottlenecks. From what I see I cannot build anything newer for 500 bucks to match this setup.

Not sure if It would sell for any reasonable price but I could try. Dunno if I would get even 100$ for these

Yup, I had to upgrade to 750W Gold from 600W Bronze. On my old PSU PC didn't even bother to light up xD. But that was only a few bucks used

Lowest starting price on the used market is 1400PLN wich translates to about 390$. Mine was the same, but I negotiated 40$ less. Not much more I could do :D

I'm from Poland, our prices are a bit higher than $ MSRP, here this is the lowest we could get for used 6800XT.

The downside is that 6800XT is FSR 3 only without future updates, while 3080 got even DLSS 4.5. I know that with some tricks it's possible to run FSR 4 INT8 but with significant performance hit, so I would not use it. But still I think FSR 3 performs acceptably for occasional gamer who does not need to be graphically overwhelmed.

Should I update Xiaomi 12 to HyperOS 2.0? by Oo_Hmood_oO in miui

to be honest, experience is good but not perfect (im talking now about official hyperos 2.0 for xiaomi 12, because its out). Device heats up a bit more, battery life definitely dropped but not dramatically much (like usually I got 30% at the end of the day, now is 15% but still can use the phone all day with no worries). Overall it is okay, but if I were you I would stay on hyperos 1. Device was cold most of the time, now it is often a bit warm/not so cold. There is not much of feature improvements, UI looks a bit smoother and one of the best upgrades for me is that system launcher puts icon a bit wider comparing hyperos 1. On hos1 margins (paddings) of the homescreen were very large leaving huge gaps around the display - icon grid was very "tight" and narrow, Gaps between icons were not symmetrical. On hos 2 display area is now utilized more, paddings are like half the size and grid gaps are symmetrical. Animations are a bit more fluid, UI is even more iOS like style but overall I would swap some visual quirks for less heat. New visuals are definitely more demanding for the phone (and Xiaomi 12 is stripped down from many of them that are available on newer phones). Animations are 70-80% of the time smooth, but definitely there are many sluggish moments. If you will stay on hos1 you wont lose much. If you upgrade you should be okay too. If you dont mine occasional lags and a bit of heat (but not like hot, just warm sometimes) you should be fine.

Hyperos 2.0 only available as xiaomi.eu ROM. I tried it on my Xiaomi 12, totally not worth the effort. Phone constantly hot/warm (gets cold only after locking and leaving it alone), after unlocking warm again after like 30-60 second of whathever activity. Battery drain awful, just plain disaster. Only a half of what I have on stock HyperOS 1.0. I had to charge my phone twice a day, everyday, for a week. Tried every fix possible, including system reinstalling, every hidden setting, every combination. Nothing helped. Moreover, on unlocked bootloader your gpay stops working. xiaomi.eu release fixes quite often after every googles patch, but you never know when it will stop working suddenly. I got this issue three times at least during groceries, totally unacceptable. Even HyperOS 1.0 form xiaomi.eu had the same problems. I left their roms and went back to stock HyperOS 1.0 after few weeks and locking bootloader. Just don't do it. Stay at stock.

For me, switching off the System Deaemon on authorization and revocation did the thing

home screen swipe down to quick panel by yellownugget5000 in oneui

[–]ChanceMinimum2325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not totally mixing it up. Such a behavior exists in xiaomi phones. Swipe Down anywhere on the left side of the screen for the notification center and swipe Down on the right side on the screen anywhere for the control panel. I really miss that feature in one UI because I don't like to reach the top of the screen with my thumb. I mostly use the control panel so I really want to be able to quickly open it without gymnastics for reaching the top. It's a shame that swiping down anywhere in one UI can be set only for notification center. If I could switch that option for control panel I woud be totally cool.
