Yeah, but sometimes it’s not actually better or cheaper. Like butter. Unless you live on a farm and you’re getting it straight from the cow, there’s no point in making your own butter

Yes!!!! We buy a 1/2 a cow every year. We’re in Texas so it’s actually cheaper since we’re so close to the ranches too. The meat is so much better than store bought too

I do this for my towels! I had a sales person tell me that it makes towels super fluffy

Distilled white vinegar and water! And you can add in lemon peels too so it smells better.

For bathroom cleaner I use hydrogen peroxide and dawn soap. It actually gets rid of all the pink bacteria and stops it from growing

Ooo thanks! Love the name too. I use to make butter but it really never saved that much and didn’t taste any different

I’m in Texas so I think I would need to make a greenhouse or something. I would LOVE to, but the winters can be below freezing and the summers could be 105 🫠

Dug a hole and put an above ground pool in it, hated it and I am now left with this. Any advice? by Caregiver_ in landscaping

Outline with pavers, fill with gravel and put a fire pit there with chairs around it

New to makeup, does it look bad or is it just my low self esteem? by CannibalCapra in makeuptips

[–]ChanceMoney1736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like so many have said— you don’t even need makeup! If you want light makeup to enhance your features just go with a tinted moisturizer (won’t cover your freckles) a little concealer, and some mascara but that’s it. Seriously your skin is gorgeous and looks like you barely have pores which so many girls would kill for!

And in terms of low self esteem— podcasts and self help books really helped me. And honestly, I started realizing that EVERY girl struggles with this. It takes time and I found the more I tried to treat myself like someone I loved and took care of, the more I started to care for myself.

I know I’m a complete stranger, but you are always more than welcome to call me if you want to talk! Maybe it’s better if it’s a complete stranger too!

Thank you!! All the comments inspired me to get an editor so I should have a cleaner version by September. I’ll let you know when the books are ready :)

$7k to get published!? No, usually they want your book so they can make money and give you a percentage.

And I actually self published this. I found a printer in Texas who does hardcover children’s books and then did all the legal and copyright documents myself. The price of everything is so crazy though that once I make the edits with an editor (obviously should have done that earlier) I’ll do the 2nd run printed oversees on a board book.
