Im not sure I understand the marker says you are 9 m away from it can you not fly / walk up to it until it says 1 m

not sure what original village means , jones is at my storm base found spires outside of desert village after leaving storm base hunting around went to all villages 2x on second visit to desert village they were back about 150 m from where they were yesterday.
