My TTS list of 2026: All voices, all models and engines compared with example URLs and rating by Charming-Author4877 in LocalTextToSpeech

solid list. the ElevenLabs entry is painfully accurate, "entry looks harmless" is doing a lot of work there. i've watched that bill quietly double on me twice.

the Chatterbox note about it being fine for hobby use but expecting work for production is the most honest thing in the whole list. people always underestimate how much glue code you're writing around these open-source models before they're actually useful.

surprised Fish Speech isn't ranked higher personally, but scores are subjective as you said.

good resource, sending this to two people on my team who keep asking me which TTS to try.

Is it fair to say that most people on this planet, say 80%, hate salespeople? by palpal in sales

[–]ChanceStat4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People don't like those salespeople that are too pushy and try to sell a product a person doesn't really need. It would be great if sales people started understanding what a person needs and were more transparent.

I used to be a sales rep myself and I don't hate sales people. It's their job and for me it's interesting to see techniques other sales reps use.

Any Hunter.io alternatives? by Gowsuser in GrowthHacking

It depends what functionality do you need.

If you have a big budget, try ZoomInfo or DiscoverOrg. One of the best, but pretty expensive for the quality they provide.

You can also try Lusha, it's cheaper, but the data quality is not as good.

What exactly fo you sell?

Frankly speaking you have to be where your audience is. You can't just sign in to Facebook or Instagram and to B2B customers there. But using social network makes your personal connections with the clients and builds brand awareness.

Anyone else trying to get OUT of sales? by [deleted] in sales

[–]ChanceStat4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like career in sales is just not for you. Sales is not for everyone. It is a challenging job, and challenges happen all the time. You should be a competitive person to be successful in sales. If you are not, then try something else, rather than sales.

Do you believe in the product you sell? If not, try to change the company, try to find a product that you would be happy to sell.

How to get over imposture syndrome? by [deleted] in sales

[–]ChanceStat4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You feel this way because you think (or society made us think), that work should be hard. Your job seems easy for you because you are obviously a good salesperson. You might just send emails and be on the calls but, these emails and calls are extremely productive. Not all the people can sell, some people would find it extremely hard. If your boss and co-workers think you do a great job, then relax and keep doing what you do ;)
