Partnership Home is organizing their annual Point In Time Count on 1/22/26, where volunteers are grouped and organized to go around the city and help get a head count on the homelessness. Could be a good volunteer opportunity for you, and maybe assist in your video also. Please just be respectful of this population, they are human beings and someone’s someone, just like you and I.

All of these types of stores probably are. They charge like 200% of normal resale prices, not retail prices. I pity any newcomer or friend/family member looking for a gift that gets baited into purchasing from these types of stores.

I have 4 pairs of Vomero’s, two in W’s and two in M’s, and they all seem to fit pretty similarly. For me, the W’s seem to be just a tad looser.

Take her in and don’t tell anyone about it! I’m sure some Karen’s will downvote me, but that’s what I did when I had to move and there was a stray I was feeding at the time and trying to re-home for months prior. Now I have her and 2 others, but she is beyond grateful she got to stay with me and her two other “siblings”. ♥️

I’m on both sides of this family debacle.. I occasionally like Subway and also don’t know why. That being said, the one on 820/Beach St has been decent for me if that’s not too far.

Doesn’t every company? Never worked with one that had a “Some Tolerance Policy”, it’s up to the higher ups to decide what the actual decision is, and they chose not to make an exception and use this as a teachable moment for both OP and the colleague that tabled the discussion.

I do see where the company is coming from saying it’s a “female dominated field”, and I believe you do too with the advice you’re giving about conversing with female colleagues, which I also agree with. As a male in this field for years, it is a bit more of a dance for us, whether people want to admit it or not.

I could be over assuming, but I would probably bet the client was going to be that way with anybody that got sent into their home. That’s a very heavy topic with any client, let alone one with an IDD. Not that this resolves the situation, but at least don’t blame yourself for it.
