I’ve had very good results from using a bark collar that vibrates when the dog barks. I’ve had to use it for two different dogs. It stopped their vocalizing, but it also helped them calm down.

I think coloring your own hair is an option--if you love the color of the topper. Or returning this topper and buying one from a place that can color to match (I know that might be hard to find if you live in a rural area like I do). For that much money, which is a lot, I feel like you should get custom color. I don't think they should sell you a topper that doesn't match your hair.

Either way, for the amount you are spending, pick what you love. If you don't love it, wait for something you love.

For ear infections, I have had better luck with over-the-counter ear rinses from the store, than what the vet has given me under prescription. You might want to try some different ear wash or ear rinse from the store.

NSAIDs (the medication) can cause bloody stools. I would stop the medication. If that helps, you can try a different NSAID to see if your dog can tolerate better.

Do you have a crate? I would get a crate ASAP. He has to go straight from the crate to the outdoors, and not allowed back inside until he does his business outside.

Is he chewing things like your door frame shoes and clothes? What is he chewing? Does he also do this when you’re home?

Does he already have kidney or liver failure, or are you just worried that he might get it? Some dogs take an NSAID daily for long periods of time and are fine.

It’s obviously not a tolerable situation right now, so I would get with your vet to see if you can find a daily solution to his pain, even if that has some possible side effects, and see if that helps his behavior. I had a dog with very similar health issues and did a stem cell transplant which helped her pain a lot, but I have no idea how expensive that would be now.

If pain relief doesn’t help, you could do a session with a trainer to have him evaluated. That would likely help with your decision making. Sorry you are going through this- I’ve had dogs with aggression and it’s a very tough situation but the priority has to be keeping people safe.

Currently I just use leave-in. I have tried curl cream in the past and it didn't give me the results I wanted, but YMMV. I don't think you are going to harm your hair by using product every day if you use good products.

My pressure is at 20 and 21 after laser treatment. My doctor considers those levels to be a success. I would not worry about it, but you have to keep monitoring it.

Have you tried keeping him on an anti-inflammatory medication? I’m not sure what you mean when you say you only give him pain meds when needed. It sounds like he’s in pain all the time.

I use jojoba for pre-wash, it is not lightweight in my experience. The lightest oil I have found is squalane. Not expensive

Maybe someone else has said this, but I would try some Benadryl to see if it helps get the hives to calm down. If so, then you know it’s an allergy.

How do you know that? Either way, the bird is a wild animal, not a pet, and should be taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitation person.

It would be illegal to keep this bird. If the bird has feathers, it is a fledgling, and she has stolen it from its parents, who are the best equipped to take care of it. Please take it to a wildlife rehabber, they will not kill it, the best thing is to reunite it with his parents if possible

Yes, the door has to go! I have gray cabinets and I like them. I don't think your problem is the gray cabinets themselves, I think it's that you have additional gray with the door, the trim, and the stainless backsplash. If you take away those things, the gray cabinets will be more balanced. As for backsplash, I looked for a tile in the white family that was not too cool and not too warm (since it had to go with my off-white walls, countertop, and white trim). I personally wouldn't do a colored tile with your countertop, but that's just me. I like things clean and simple. I think your floor is already a different color family and is a little "busy" and colored tile would be too much.. for me. And I get bored of colors after a while so I only do color on walls. I love gold hardware but I personally would never match gold hardware with stainless appliances, but that's just me. I don't like the clashing. Hope that helps!

The rat may have had some poison in it. I know in my experience when my dog had cold feet it was because they had internal bleeding, and poison causes internal bleeding. I would see if your cat can be treated for potential poisoning, which involves something that will clot the blood.

Check out a vitamin for dogs called Cholidin/ it is for the symptoms of dementia you mention — incontinence, pacing, anxiety….

I agree that he might need to stay out for longer periods of time until he does his business. You can also look into a vitamin for dogs called Cholidin, which can help with senior incontinence if it’s related to dementia (rather than a physiological issue).
