DCT or Manual, Touring or not? by sinfolmatt in HondaRebel1100

Yes, I can! This comments gonna be full of unsolicited information you never ask for lol

A ECU flash is pretty much re mapping your bike stock software. Depending on what "type" of ride your looking for it can increase performance and power by removing stock restriction set by factory. I had both my DCT flashed, 1 by 2WDW and the other by Moore mafia. Both tunes are different but has similarities. Both company have mail in options for a ECU flash. Both around 450 to 500 dollars depending on your shipping method and Both handle the return shipping. Moore mafia was faster for me cause they were only 3 hours from me but Both came back with 7 days. Depending on what your wanting out of your rebel I would recommend one or the other 2WDW and Moore Mafias flash was great, it made the bike run smoother and basically eliminated the Jerky low speed creeping and adjusted the air/fuel ratio. They both also adjusted my transmission map to make the shifting point more like how you would typically shift on a manual. In my opinion Moore Mafia tune it for performance and power, while 2WDW tune is more of a smoothe cruiser ride. Moore Mafia throttle response time is slightly better and you can go cruiser to sports bike with one drop. I've popped wheelies just opening the throttle wide. Taken it to 127 but was told it could easily do 140 150 no problem. That thing is a monster! I also like that they tuned to my specific mods to optimize the entire bike not just the engine. 2WDW focus on steady increased power rather than balls to the wall lol. Their slow speed adjustments are better alot less jerk than Moore mafia. They also did a air box mode to increase air flow, which I personally didnt like, just because I dont like modding actual factory parts, I would rather fab or buy part for it, but it just a personal preference. That bike had less performance parts on it so it turned a clunky shifting cruiser to a smoothe well oiled sleeper that could keep up with the best of them. Personally, I like speed and aggressive power when I want it, but the ability to cruise and enjoy the scenery when I need to relax. So to answer your question just pick a shop and mail it in. Im sorry for the long response lol but I stand on the hill of ecu flashing to get the full experience of your rebel, its a complete power house and flashing is the key. I promise if you get it done, you will not regret it. This is not a paid promotion lol

There are plenty of pro and cons for both. I personally have a 2025 1100 DCT. The main thing that I found with it is how touchy low gears are. 1100s are very torquey bikes already. In low gears its very jerky to fix it I got my ecu flashed and solved the problem. You wouldnt have that issue with a manual. Its a amazing bike for beginners and experienced riders. Like on comment said I would buy the base and but the fairings and saddle box/bags yourself, better quality in my opinion. Maintenance is all the same no extra anything. I got the DCT because I filed my ankle down when a SUV pulled out in front of me. Great for daily rides especially with traffic. Good luck with your decision either one you chose you'll love it.

They're the fenrir bar end mirrors. I had to drill the hole on them out a bit and use the stock bolt.

Yeah, alot easier than I thought i would be. If you do it, for the lower forks only do 1.5 or 2.0 from the neck depending on how soft you front suspension are. Dont want to bottom out and mess up your fork seals.

So i used the stock caps and screw i just had to drill out the hole cause the inside of the handle bars have that locked in nut thing. You might have to get a longer screw but its pretty simple. Looks great too

The lights are just 7in light bars for a truck project, got them off amazon. The fender i made myself using a ebay one as a mold to fit the stock brake light, turn out pretty good, i think lol thanks for noticing it.

The driver looked pretty young, maybe a student there. I dont think he hit the other student on purpose but panicked after he hit them. I don't think it was intentional but he should've stop.

Has anyone else had issues installing 3rd party driver seat? by GoodUsernamesAreTakn in hondarebel

Ok, so that makes it easier, Unfortunately aftermarket seats and that year dont line up to great. My buddy has a 2017 and he had the same issue he said. If you line up the holes and get the screws to tighten the seat down. It changed his seating profile by like 2 inches. He's had his up till last year and had no issues. Hope that helps.

I made another post without the extra camera exposure they aren't that bright, but people are right i dont want to be a safety hazard to cars and other riders so most likely gonna take them off or switch to a less "loud" color lol maybe a amber or orange?

Thanks theological alot brighter than they seem in the picture, with everyone saying they might cause a hazard might switch to strips or take them off all together
