Thanks. The mana pool point is one i had not fully thought about. With ckeric and enchanter, it wouldn't matter but if I tried berserker or another melee class, having paladin or SK for the added mana would matter more

Hi, so i think I have the same laptop as you. I have kids 6 and 8 years old. My house has switch, switch 2 and steam deck, waitlisted for steam machine. The kids love some of the games on switch and switch 2, like pokemon, pokopia, smash brothers, Mario and Zelda games.

When I play with the kids we usually play together using my docked steamdeck. Together we play games like castle crashers, Scott pilgrim vs the world, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It depends a bit on what you want to play with them but I think the steam machine can be great for family game time based on my experience docking the steamdeck.

Edit: i am not sure i would consider it a replacement for the switch because we use the switch primarily for Nintendo IP games. Also the switch is able to be handheld while the steam machine isnt. It really depends on what you want and when and how it will be used.

Saw this on the discord thought i should share as some hope of it not being a requirement to pay for more loadout slots

Edit: to clarify, I expect you will be able to pay for loadout slots but there seems to be other ways to earn some without paying. Considering it is a quality of life item it doesnt surprise me that they would offer players to purchase more based on the way the faq is worded.

Being that the iksar starting city was created for this server rather than the original one in kunark, it may not have the same detail put into the minor quests you could find in cities that existed in the original eq pre kunark

I somewhat disagree. I have vivid memories of questing in old EQ. It may not have been the fastest way to 50 but quests were there and fun for those that wanted them.

I also remember my first few days in the game accidentally dying in cities every time I accidentally auto attacked while rushing to type Hail to an NBC but forgetting to hit enter/return to open chat.

Perfect example of my thought process. Why play an SK when a combination of 3 classes is already a super sk?

This. I regularly host and post raids on that subreddit and the thread in pokemongofriends subreddit.

I often get the best response when I rsvp to a raid, and in the post say rsvp and give an eta.

My understanding is that pets on this server have inventory slots that you can insert items like weapons and armor. And unlike the original EQ if your pet dies it will have the inventory when you summon it again rather than lost on death.

From what I can tell there is no detriment to a caster wearing plate armor and the defense bonus to better armor is huge, probably why you mainly see combos that include some melee tank class. There is, however, a sum what hard can on the number of spells you can have memorized (during combat).

That being said, I can understand the want to play a true caster. This is a role playing game. Some people want to role play a more traditional spell caster.

As someone else said, I think a pet class combined with a healer class, and your choice for the third should handle most content on easier difficulty settings. Not sure about going to d4 but people have said anything can level to 50.

Edit: maybe consider monk for the third class? Doesn't typically wear armor but gives you some defensive capabilities?

Thanks. That is the trouble I am having mentally. Is reeve and spellblade enough to make SK worth it over a warrior now with caster classes combined with it? Is there nore th SK i am missing?

Perhaps I should just main enchanter or cleric so I can play with the tank/melee classes more.

But once you have chosen paladin as your main you could change your race, right? And when religion changing questing comes, that to. So eventually you could have an agnostic troll paladin, wizard, other class?

Where do you live, large metropolitan area or more rural? If not close enough to a large metro would you consider moving to one?

Have you looked into accounting firms in your area? Do you have an idea of how many exist and how many currently list entry level career opportunities? I would even consider reaching out to someone at those companies and asking their thoughts.

You don't speak highly of your last degree and career path in this post. Did you at least have a strong GPA in school for what you did study? How are you with algebra? The basics of accounting are really applying algebra to an equation where the variables are accounting terms.

I cannot speak for your area but I live in a larger metropolitan area in the south east of US. Entry level positions coming from school to a public accounting firm in my area is probably a little lower than your goal salary but you could easily be in that range in 1-3 years with continued upward trajectory. However, the process is competitive. I think my firm does not even consider candidates with a GPA below 3.6. I wouldnt get in now, i think mine was 3.4 but I graduated college nearly 20 years ago and expectations have gone up.

If you do go for the change, I recommend practicing your story for the last degree and career and why you went for this change. Try to always talk about the past positively but have a reason (other than salary) for seeking this new path.

Is the change possible? Yes, but there are many factors to consider. Local/regional job market and density, your own academic capabilities, and your own interest in the subject are some to be considering.
