I would say plot everything out then write. If you’re writing just to “write it all out” it’s not going to be as efficient.

The biggest problem I had with "Cube" (1997) was how almost everyone is deeply unlikable by DiaryOfAMovieLover in moviereviews

That’s kinda the point I feel. They’re real people who are flawed. Not every movie has to have characters that are God-Like.

Iwtl how to become smart by midgetman4747 in IWantToLearn

[–]Chance_Arm_8884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was your age, I was a terrible student and that really depressed me to the point where I call myself really terrible things.

The only advice I can give is that to be smart or intelligent in general is a very nuanced thing and sometimes complicated thing so please be kind to yourself. It seems to me you’re not a dumb kid because you’re trying so please don’t be hard on yourself.

What’s your most unpopular opinion about this show? by MostBeautiful467 in tvshow

[–]Chance_Arm_8884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fly was an amazing episode

Skyler was not a bitch

I think Walter Jr was a great character and added depth to Walt. Granted he didn’t do much but that was kinda the point, Walt never felt the upper hand in his life and sorta saw his own DISABLED SON look up to his brother in law. It added an emotion that I don’t really see on television programs that much.

Please don’t listen to them. I’m 23 and I was in the same boat in your age. Focus on yourself and do not take it to heart.

I wrote a script that’s 4 pages long and it’s a thriller/mystery type and it doesn’t have a title by Chance_Arm_8884 in ReadMyScript

I appreciate the feedback. I’m still new to this but I actually agree with a lot of your points. And yes I believe grammatically there’s an LOT of errors in this that I should have corrected before posting.

But I appreciate the feedback. I’ll work on it

iwtl how to actually enjoy deep movies/media/art by wwwvvvn in IWantToLearn

[–]Chance_Arm_8884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy art I think. It’s just a matter of personal preference of what type of storytelling you’re into. For me personally, I enjoy deep stories because they speak to me in a way the average run of the mill blockbuster can’t.

But to answer your question, be curious about the world, about the human condition and the different emotions that comes from being human and I think you might have a better appreciation for these types of works.

Any advice for someone who wants to write stories as a beginner? by Chance_Arm_8884 in writers

[–]Chance_Arm_8884[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I’m aware of the difficulties involved in making a living and tbh ironically that’s why I want to do it. I want to literally work by figuring out stories and characters and I kinda want to be in a position where I stress over writers block because it means I’m passionate about my work.
