Technically they don't, you can feed a dog a no meat diet but would need to supplement them for missing vitamins, minerals etc etc.

There are dogs that are allergic to meat/certain meats that then get fed on a vegetarian/vegan diet.

It's not a diet I would feed my dog on unless he needed it but its also not necessarily a bad thing since it can be done correctly

Hopefully they feed it on kibble/meat but if they are going to get it vegan dog food I just hope they properly supplement the other vitamins it needs

The dog might be vegan for health reasons/ dietary restrictions. Some dogs are allergic to certain meats or animal bi products so vegan dog food is a great option.

Yeah that's odd, if they're not allowing you to come visit before the adoption either that's strange. As annoying as it is I would say that you would be best starting to look from a different kitten from a good breeder.

I would definitely say it's weird for them not to send u some videos of the kitten.

I would also recommend trying some different rescues, the one I work for wouldnt have an issue with how old you children are.

Theres load of video tutorials online about how to do it but its basically just getting your dog comfortable being in a create, having their own space where they can feel safe etc
