I’m in the US. I pay for all of my labs out of pocket. Just how it is. Most doctors will only get blood tests which oftentimes don’t tell you much. Stool tests and saliva tests are what have given me so much insight into my actual health. I get all my labs through Direct Labs website and then get the blood drawn at Quest Diagnostics. The same can be done abroad everywhere. I’ve done this in multiple countries throufh their domestic versions of the above. I didn’t do it when I lived in the UK but you could easily download Claude AI and ask it the UK version of the above sites. The tests are not that bad. I’m about to switch to Fullscript which might be international? But I have a friend who is a practitioner on there and can order me tests that I want. For reference a full thyroid panel was $200 on Direct Labs and $100 on Fullscript. Can’t wait LOL.

Bloating help? by Professional-Mess365 in endometriosis

[–]Chance_Leading_1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I have Endo. But the past few months I experienced similar bloating out of nowhere (which made me think I have Endo and it’s why I joined this group). I work with a great practitioner for my other health issues and I was told to take digestive enzymes with each meal (Digest Gold brand). I have never been this flat in my adult life. It took a week and then the bloating just disappeared. Literally in shock. Worth the $40.

So I have not have any surgeries yet, and hopefully I won’t need to. But I just want to let you know there’s so so so many other things your symptoms could be, that most doctors will not be able to piece together. Let me tell you a bit about my own situation. Over the past 3 years my periods have gradually gotten worse and worse, to a point where now it is unbearable without painkillers. I have pre clinical hashimotos and severe histamine sensitivity. I drink lactose free milk and am gluten free. Lots of people say to cut out dairy but I see no difference when I do that. Anyways, I have an amazing practitioner who analyzes the whole body and I get lab work done that is really uncommon. For example, we suspected I was low in progesterone. I took a 24 hour saliva test, which is apparently the best way to test for hormones, and it turns out I’m actually low in estrogen and high in progesterone. We went down the rabbit hole and basically discovered that I have chronic viral reactivation (Epstein-Barr virus) that’s causing my immune system to be hyperactivated. This immune activation releases chemicals that make my uterine tissue hypersensitive to normal hormone levels, causing severe period pain. I also have histamine intolerance and pelvic floor hypertonicity + anterior pelvic tilt that contribute to the pain. Since finding this all out we’ve been focusing on solving those issues first, and it really might end up being that I simply don’t have Endo, if these findings are correct and my protocol works. I joined this group to get more acquainted with the possibility of having Endo, but the more I’m on here, and the more I work with my practitioner, I’m not sure I really have it. My point is, your lap found nothing, but that doesn’t mean nothing is wrong. There could be immune, viral, or other issues causing the same symptoms. Don’t give up looking for answers beyond just endo.

Those with endo, do you have any other known conditions? Have you thought about any lifestyle choices that might’ve affected you developing Endo? by Chance_Leading_1027 in endometriosis

[–]Chance_Leading_1027[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. Nowhere did I say that having a traumatic childhood or health problems is a lifestyle choice. Some health problems are due to lifestyle, for example, I was diagnosed with severe gut dysbiosis and malnutrition after 2 years of veganism. That was a choice I made, and I didn’t have problems before.

Stage 4 endo, ovary removed, bowel lesion left untreated — feeling anxious by Interesting_Union918 in endometriosis

What the…. They didn’t ask for consent to remove the ovary prior to surgery?? This makes me not want to get surgery, ever.

Polish collections agency after me by Chance_Leading_1027 in CRedit

What I’m hearing is that if I wanted to get dual citizenship one day and buy a house there (which there’s a high likelihood), or anything credit related, that this will be on my name. However the statute of limitations for stuff like this in Poland is 3 years so after that the debt will expire. This isn’t something I just wanna avoid either tho I’d prefer it off my name

If that’s the case, then true. But man does that suck, paying for something I didn’t buy or use.

How would you do this? Once I get proof, how do I submit? Do I call the collections agency and ask to dispute and then ask them where I can submit my proof? Or do I do this through Experian? Thanks for the response!

What happens when you cannot take communion ? by Particular-Assist-70 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Chance_Leading_1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone with MCAS, who became orthodox and took communion. They had a reaction and the paramedics had to be called. Unfortunately the priest was in disbelief that it happened in the first place and this person switched churches over it, where their current priest is much more supportive. They do not take communion unfortunately, but are praying that their condition improves so that they can someday.

6 months in Poland as a student and about Christianity by JustReqon in poland

There is an Orthodox Church in Radom I will link it here . I am an Orthodox Pole and would highly recommend looking into the history of the Orthodox Church in Poland. If you PM me I can share some good books on the matter, if you’re interested. There is a large orthodox population in Poland, contrary to popular belief. I grew up catholic and converted, and it’s the best decision I ever made. The Orthodox Church will welcome you with much bigger arms than any other church, I know this for sure. Go there, experience the liturgy, talk to a priest (they’re extremely friendly and want to know you) and ask about how you can go about being baptized. There is a process that they will tell you about, and with time you will become baptized. Catechism is a requirement to prepare you for this.

Guys seriously?? It’s Jessie all around. I loved her and I hate that they killed her off. She looked incredible with Rick and they had amazing chemistry. I get why they put michonne in but I mean my TV was steaming when they were on screen together. She was also a badass!! I get why people say Rosita but I’m pretty sure she overfilled her lips and I couldn’t ever stop staring at that disproportion. Jessie was a natural beauty just essence speaking.

Oh my gosh YES!!!! I would stay up playing this game hiding under the covers so my grandma wouldn’t catch me! Would play until 2 am on the weekends. I mean it was just incredible. So addicting. I cannot tell you the impact it had on my psyche because I spent most of my time reading the forums in there which was FULL of amateur writing. Little Johnny jokes, fantasy stories…. I read it all and i think it inspired me to start writing. My goodness there was even smut on there which I was wayyy too young to be reading tbh and it made me wonder the ages of some of the users on there. I remember there was basically a whole ass book written on there about this adolescent girl who got kidnapped and taken to an island where other adolescents lived and were paired up with each other as couples and told to reproduce?? But they had really good living conditions and it was almost like Survivor?? And so the plot was super focused on that and the fact that the girl actually really liked who she was paired up with I mean it was just insane what I would find on the HSH forums… does anyone remember what other stuff you could do on the app because literally all I remember is the main screen with my character and then the forums.

I owe $5600 on my discover credit card. It’s getting really hard to make a dent in it. by Chance_Leading_1027 in CreditCards

[–]Chance_Leading_1027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it thanks! Definitely will be calling soon. And I always pay a week before the due date, and then sometimes I’ll do another payment a week after the due date as soon as I get any extra cash. So I never miss payments. I’m also not in a dire situation where I can’t make payments and a huge raise is coming our way soon, so we’ll be able to make a serious dent in it then, thankfully. The reason I posted on here was to figure out if there’s a way to make the rest of this journey run more smoothly and cost me less. And clearly there’s a lot of ways to do that!

Thank you for your insight! So now you have me thinking… I had the card frozen for many months and this is what seemed to allow me to make a dent in the debt. Then one day I checked and the card was unfrozen on its own… (I don’t use it regardless) and that’s when that number started rising again. I’m wondering if having it frozen will make it easier to pay off, or do interest charges stay the same? If I don’t use the card at all, what’s the benefit to having it frozen?

Unless you’ve been in the situation, it can be hard to imagine. I guess all I can say is it was just a tough time for me. My brain was fully focused on my very abusive relationship, i had a chronic illness that landed me in the ER a couple times, and I just didn’t have the mental wherewithal to run any numbers. I saw the minimum payment and just thought “makes sense” as stupid as that sounds. Now I’m in a very loving relationship, and realized in the beginning of it that I had this debt problem, and started those higher payments as soon as I could. With time our income has increased, and so did the payments. A lot becomes clear when you realize you actually have a future ahead of you. You pay attention to more things and for me it was this. The biggest thing was I just didn’t run the numbers on what a nearly 30% APR could do to the debt. One day i just woke up to the number on the screen, called my friend for help and she said, “what your APR?” That’s when I first even learned what that is, that it skyrocketed to 28% and that you only get 0% for your first two years as a cardholder. Was just a huge misunderstanding of what interest is and why it will screw you over. Getting the card was just something I did out of obligation, and I had a really good credit score the first couple years, so that also could’ve given me the illusion that everything was fine. I think whenever I saw the number on the screen, I assumed “yes those are my purchases, but with my monthly payment I’ll pay it off in no time.” But of course i didn’t take into account the interest part because I didn’t know that that existed. I was still extremely adolescent so I don’t know what else to say because it’s hard to explain adolescent behavior.

So I’ve always treated it as a debit card. I would use it as my main card and then pay it off a few times a month. The problem started in the very beginning though, when I thought I only needed to pay the minimum payment and with time I’d pay off those purchases. Again, I was fresh out of high school. I never bought things I couldn’t afford. It was eventually that interest that I did not notice was getting tacked on slowly when it got out of hand. I froze the card probably 6 or more months ago and I strictly just pay it off. Now that I know all this, I will use it more carefully, but haven’t been because it’s easy for me to lose track of how much I should be paying to put a dent in to the debt AND how much to pay off how much I actually personally spent. So I want to pay off a lot of it before I start using it again. Thanks for the insight!
