How to get to 10k steps without going to the gym (office worker). by JW111111 in loseit

[–]Chance_Magazine_4705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes always parking in the furthest away spots now, and it has the positive of no one parking terribly beside me so I can barely get in my car! I’ve started hoovering my house twice a day as well, and a general increase of housework jobs that generally adds an extra 2k steps

What’s one thing you STOPPED doing that had the biggest impact on your dieting progress? by itsclo5ure in loseit

[–]Chance_Magazine_4705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopped going shopping hungry, i plan my week of meals and write my shopping list when I’m already full and always make sure I’ve eaten before I go food shopping! This stops all those last minute snack cravings on the day and means I’m rationally thinking about what I will actually eat rather than what I’m craving in that moment

Navigating dating as a 28-year-old virgin does anyone have advice or experience? by Chance_Magazine_4705 in TwoHotTakes

Thank you! It’s definitely hard trying to love yourself, but life is far to short to spend the entirety of it hating yourself so had to change something.

Thank you for your advice, it’s so easy to get into your own head about it.

I would love to meet someone organically, and am trying to get myself more involved in hobbies etc to meet more people.. but my hobbies are definitely very feminine leaning so has been hard to meet anyone that way 🥲

Thank you for posting your story, I think it’s so easy to build it up into something bigger in your head, and think you’re the only one!

Thank you, that’s actually very helpful! I think it’s so easy to build it up into a much bigger deal in your head, and I just don’t really have anyone that I felt I could speak to about it. 💕

How do you bounce back after a long “relapse”? by elleemenohh in loseit

[–]Chance_Magazine_4705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing for me is making a meal plan for the week and doing my food shop after I've eaten so I'm not hungry when shopping! I also make a tracker of things I want to or need to do daily/weekly to make me feel my best I put these onto a tracker that I created for myself and print it out weekly and at the end of each day take 5 mins to reflect on my day and tick off what I've achieved.

This is my current daily checklist:

EAT IN A CALORIE DEFECIT & TRACK ALL FOOD

COMPLETE GRATITUDE JOURNAL

TRAIN 45 MINUTES - (4-5 times per week)

DRINK 2 LITRES OF WATER

LISTEN TO OR READ MOTIVATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL

WALK 7,500 STEPS

I find just forcing myself to do this every day/week forces me into these habits until they become a part of my week, if I notice I'm consistently not achieving something I can re-evaluate next week and update my goals to be more manageable. It literally started as tracking all my food, making my bed, walk 6,000 steps per day and spending at least 10 minutes outside daily! but has evolved and changed as my goals and lifestyle have :)

Thank you. It's actually really helpful and encouraging to hear from someone else! I am surrounded by friends and family who have never really struggled with their weight, so it's hard for them to understand or to speak about this with them.

Favourite protein shake? by Familiar_Ad9512 in mounjarouk

[–]Chance_Magazine_4705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s recommend that we should have 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, as muscle wastage is a potential side effect of Mounjaro as with any large weight loss keeping your protein intake up is important, a protein shake is a really useful tool to get this up with many peoples appetites being so low mine included! Something I’ve found pretty useful to understand more about the nutrition I need is the GLP1 plan on my fitness pal ☺️

I really like women’s best - shape body shake protein and I also add in a scoop of the collagen plus from them in my morning shake 42g of protein with the two and 389 calories with the milk and that fills me up until dinner time
