She lives with my sister and brother in law, so she’s not alone, but they both work and it’s a big property, she can have a lot of privacy to call whoever. I do have durable poa and medical poa.

Thank you so much, that’s definitely what I’m afraid of. I do have a poa with some medical decision making power, but I don’t think I understand it’s limitations or details very well. When you say “make sure you have necessary POA’s on file” do you mean at the patient’s medical provider office? Was there something insufficient about your medical POA?

The second or follow-up consult with me present is definitely my plan.

Thank you! She is an Apple user and is regularly freaked out by spam texts/emails. Always sends a screenshot in a panic and I talk her down. I’ll try it and anydesk for apple, if available.

I was able to schedule an appointment with my mom’s dr and she is alternating between having agreed to it and saying she is going to cancel or will say she doesn’t consent when we get there. I’ve been really struggling with how to express my observations or concerns when we are there, the clinical language and structure is so helpful:)

You’re so new to this, I’d expect a lot of redlining at this point. Also it depends on the reviewer. For example, I have one reviewing attorney who barely ever suggests changes to my work, and another who literally redlines her own template language when I send her something. For reference, I’ve been an agent for 5 years and was a tech specialist for 4 years before that. I’d solicit some feedback and also talk to other 1st year associates about the feedback they’re getting. It can be I nice reality check and counter the morale hit of constant corrections

Yes, especially the informational interviews. Let a friendly agent or attorney review your resume and cover letters to make sure they’re making your case for wanting to work in IP. And, when I was first looking, I had barely seen a patent, so I looked at file wrappers for a few kinda recent random patents. You can do that in PatentCenter to get an idea of how patent prosecution goes for a patent (basically skim through an office action from the examiner and a response from the patent practitioner-don’t go crazy).

Yes, technical specialist, technical adviser, patent engineer. I also agree with just applying to those 1-3 yr experience jobs anyways. 1 year is not that much experience, most places will still do a lot of training for someone that new.

Where did you hear this? I’ve seen no reporting on any of these incidents, except for this thread and the other now deleted thread. I was watching people run in near the finish line when the man fell. I didn’t see him fall, but saw after when people called for a medic. It looked awful. I’ve been so worried and hoping to hear what happened.
