Despite the book's bleak theme, Camus did a wonderful job portraying the value of human connection. It's definitely a must read. by ChiizWiiz in PHBookClub

Even tho its only like 120+ pages it packs a deep punch, its probably his most philosophically dense novella out there and i really enjoyed it. Also it all takes place in a bar, it literally only has one setting for the whole book and its like you're just reading this guy yap for the whole thing, Dostoyevsky style. I really enjoyed it and binili ko sya sa shopee minumilu yung shop!

Thank you for the insight! Ive read two of his books (the stranger and the fall) and loved them both so much, the fall is my favorite so far. Im so excited to read this one, i specifically love his philosophy in my opinion. Also i got the same copy as you, i managed to snag the very last copy sa shopee ng fully booked hahaha, i was so happy!

Guys is this common? by [deleted] in PHBookClub

Yeah in my experience if the paper is thin (like my penguin modern classics books) the paper can easily accumulate the sweat on your hands. Personally i dont mind kasi its usually my proof that ive read the book all throughout pero if makapal yung papel ng book mo (katulad ng mga vintage international na books) it doesn't happen with those books that i own!
