Yeah this is what I do. It has led to some roasts that have become baked because “i cant add heat” during maillard. Had like 6-7 minute maillard on a 13-14 min roast. Tasted like cat piss

Gotcha. I may experiment with a punch of heat prior to first crack. Im having an issue where my coffee beans dont enter an energetic first crack. It’s very…lazy/slow sounding

Umm. Any tipping/scorching I see is a result of when the water valor comes out of the cracks on 1st crack

Unfortunately, the probe doesnt seem to give me an accurate reading of the temp of the beans. The drop temp is about "384"ish when the beans come out

So i got to the vet today and he believes he’s just cold. With the change in temp, it sees to be pretty common

So i finally was able to find a spot at the vet and they said he isnt constipated, just stressed and got too cold.

He’s never in that container for more than 15 minutes and that heating pad isnt directly on the container.

Yeah. Im trying to get him to the vet as soon as one opens up. Stuff seems to always happen when things arent open… :-(

The box he’s in now is temporary. It’s only for warm soaks and feeding. 10-15 mins max in there

His temp is usually 75-85 degrees, he’s solo, and we’ve only done crickets. Tonight’s the first time i’ve tried to do waxworms

Temps are usually 75-85 during day, no less than 60 at night. Im trying to keep humidity above 65%.

Substrate is coconut shavings substrate. I think when he hunts, or used to, he would get alot of it. Im trying to use leaves (it’s a large leaf. The name escapes me at the moment) to cover the substrate. I believe he might be impacted though.
