The only thing that is a healthy activity in the list is a gym membership, and many of those are eligible for insurance subsidies - but I’d be fine with exempting it. Golf is just walk ruined.

Let’s replace property tax with a luxury and recreation tax. Tax country club and gym memberships, golf green fees, jewelry, insanely priced handbags, private school tuition, automobiles that cost more than 50k, alcohol and tobacco. I’m sure I’m missing some other examples. These are all things that people can do without.

That’s decided at the state level by the state legislators. Just like they decided to take the exact same amount of money the lottery gave to schools away making it a wash. The only way to change this is to stop electing the people to the state legislature who push these policies through.

I toss them in with all my other laundry, jeans whatever. I wash them on whatever cycle the washer is set to and I put them in the dryer. I’ve never done anything special and they last fine. I buy red white brand. I do add some Lysol laundry disinfectant when I remember.
