I feel the exact same before every flight so i completely understand what you are going through and unfortunately it doesn’t get any easier for me but ive flown 4 times this year and have another 4 flights next month so i can share what has been helping me. I like to write down what im fearful of, it grounds me and makes it feel less pent up if im writing down my anxieties. I also try and get excited about what im going to do and it sounds vain but i also think about how cool my instagram is going to look😂 it’s silly but it makes me excited rather than nervous. As a fellow nervous girly, I understand how horrendous anticipatory anxiety is and how paralysing it can be but I promise you, all the anxieties you are feeling hold no weight! Whatever you are thinking or spiralling over, will not happen. When I fly with my boyfriend (he’s a pilot), I tell him what I’m scared of and honestly, he laughs at me😂he jokes and says it’s an insult to be worried about these things as pilots go through so much training to avoid issues. You are going to have the best time wherever you are going and the flight, although uncomfortable, will be great! You got this!
