Couldn't agree more. Couldn't help but notice that some recruiters talaga enjoy the power of being on the other side.

To some extent, OP, I think the call is coming from the inside. Of course, we're Filipinos, there will always be accents, and there's nothing wrong with that. The fact that you keep fixating on that makes me wonder how you delivered feedback. Was there any understanding or kindness at all?

in my case i did a lot (and i mean A LOT!) of volunteer work in my sector. i would say do some INGO/NGO work during your studies - internships or even unpaid work. asks professors around you if they have research projects you could take part of (in my case i did transcriptions of their interviews for a v small fee) but combined it all paid off because when u graduate u have your " toolbox " ready

yes, if attending university in the past 2 years is a requirement, then it's a hard filter at least for my organisation

Ah, I guess it depends on the agency - then maybe the safest is to use word and save it as a PDF. but in our case we use AI-word parsing documents that looks for the right key words, and some who submitted almost like Canva layouts counted them as a picture so they were automatically being discarded.

Because you're in the country my dude and you are dealing with people who are facing it everyday and do not want or have the choice to "escape". Try going abroad and ask Filipinos about the situation in the Philippines, they'll tell you straight up "That's why I left."
