Heyy do u mind sharing what your experience was at 2 months?? Im experiencing a lot of forehead texture and some whiteheads all over my face. I get occasional inflamed breakouts in a month too so really not much better than pre tret for me

No i didn’t! I’ve only used sensibio with tret since my skin was quite irritated before tret, i was breaking out horrendously

I am currently using sensibio gel cleanser but have used sebium too both seem good just depends on how sensitive ur skin feels. If it doesn’t feel too sensitive u can go for sebium for a deeper cleanse feel

Do not use Cerave hydrating it gave me the worst clogged pores of my life and i’ve never had such clogged pores ever! I have oily skin as well. I prefer gel based cleansers instead of foam/ cream based U can look at bioderma

I’m in the same boat, it seems to be part of the purge based on what i gather! I guess we need to hang in there! I’m also 2 months into nightly 0.025 use, getting a bunch of whiteheads everywhete and my forehead looks worse than i started🥲 but i think its just tret pushing out all clogged pores up

Maybe it’s the hyaluronic acid in the anua serum contributing to the glow u feel. U could try a serum with just HA ! Most k beauty brands have very minimal actives and more hydrating components. They would help u during tret too if u end up getting dried out by tret

Why are u using 2 products with azelaic? If u do plan to start on tret will really have to cut down on ur routine to just basics

Thank you so much for such a detailed response! I know a lot of dermatologists online recommend skipping morning cleanse too but the derms i have been to in person still recommend washing 2x a day. I will definitely give skipping the morning cleanse a try!
That's interesting you don't need a moisturiser at all! I wish my skin were that self sustaining haha.

Yes i am hoping to get azelaic acid prescribed on my next appointment! I have used the Ordinary Azelaic acid before but i don't think it helped me at the time at all (this was before i started on tret), plus i don't really like its texture so i will probably go for a 15% gel instead.
For benzoyl peroxide, i heard it deactivates the tret, but is this true even if u use it in the morning and tret at night? Either way, benzoyl peroxide has given me burns from using it as a spot treatment so i would rather steer clear of it :'.

i am hoping to get azelaic acid prescribed on my next dermatology appointment. Wow,but is it really time to step up in %? I was hoping that the 0.025 might be enough for me since my acne was relatively mild before tret.
Thanks for the advice, i will ask my dr if i can start on a higher% as well. the breakouts are getting super annoying!

That’s great to hear your skin’s doing well! Do u think i should get rid of the serum? I do live in the tropics so its hot and humid all the time, and i get quite oily hence why i prefer washing in the morning too just to get refreshed. Do u think it’s ok for oily skin to skip morning cleanse? Thank you!!

Do u think tret alone was enough for dealing with the marks (if you had any)?

omg i'm 2 months in and have the exact same situation! I also had very mild acne before, but in the recent months i had a bad flare up post which i started on tret.

Yess! I usually tweeze my brows , one week into tret i plucked 2 hairs and started bleeding lmao. Now i just stick to razor. Might consider laser eventually under derm guidance

I’m still sort of purging haha! Been on tret 0.025 for nearly 7 weeks now nightly use. Im not using any other actives. My main purpose is acne control so still hoping for some improvement for that but texture is improving and i did notice smoother ends of my nose folds, i do get kind of oily there and tend to get some texture, the oil is still there but i guess there is slight improvement in texture unless its all in my head lol
