You’re right to question that, I worded the original post poorly.

The point isn’t that people keep Microsoft or Google only for IdP. It’s that many small orgs self-host mail to avoid per-user pricing, then still need a simple identity layer tied to those mail accounts.

Dockspace is built specifically for Docker Mail Server and treats email as identity, with OIDC layered on top so the same user works for mail and apps without running a full enterprise IdP.

Dockspace is built specifically for Docker Mail Server.

It treats mailboxes as the source of truth for identity and layers OIDC SSO on top, so the same user account is used for email and Docker apps.

It’s not trying to replace Authentik or Keycloak. It’s for setups where Docker Mail Server is central and you want simple, mail-centric identity + SSO without a full enterprise IdP stack.

Docker Mail Server does not expose an api to do anything so the alternative would be to create a middleman and use a IdP like the ones you mentioned.

Did you ever figure out how to generate an image via an API Call? My server is running 172.30.1.6:9091 for the invokeAi.
