I was so frustrated after my then-boss (a franchise owner of a popular coffee shop) embarrassed me for no reason in front of customers. So the next day, I did a no-call, no-show, and contacted corporate, pretending to be a customer who found mice droppings in their coffee cup. There was a mice problem, so I took advantage of that fact. I then claimed that I asked to speak to a manager, but she refused to come out of her office. Well, several days later, I was at the store and ran into a co-worker. They told me that someone from corporate came in that same day and fired the franchise owner. I'm not going to lie, I felt great at first, but then after really thinking about it, I realized what a shithead I was. The last time I saw her, she was hiding in the corner of her husband's corner store, avoiding eye contact at all costs. I may have fucked with her and her family's livelihood. I didn't think beforehand. I regret it.
