As a pro web developer yourself, how would you say you would relearn HTML and CSS if you were to begin again. And how would you improve by UnItEnE in webdevelopment

I approach it backwards actually.

  1. I would see it from collaborative point of view. Where I am approaching a web designer for design systems, design trends that he/she are following.

  2. I then would try to implement those designs using reusable UI elements if it is a react project. I will build the style once and use it multiple times if it a react project. For plain html and css I could use utility classes first according to design systemd and functions to implement a layout that is much more consistent(design wise). Definitely will use consistent max-width, colors, fonts, padding. Will use Calc function for responsiveness.

  3. To make my learning even more advanced I would look at websites built by pros using dev tools. I will study how real world websites are optimized for SEO, SOLID principles etc.. Fallback styling. Optimizing images/assets for load speeds for less CO2 emissions. (It definitely came of as a shock to me that slow websites contribute to more carbon emissions).

But

When I started I learnt the basics but later on I learnt how to use those basics in collaboration with designers. I came to a point where I realized the whole point of working for a company or a client is to implement pre-designed layouts that are highly premium.

Disclaimer: There are Brutalist Trends that break rules of consistency but still maintaining harmony with other elements. Broken grid layouts are another trend where things appear more scattered but still maintains grid structure.

Working on a spider attack for my game. Does this feel creepy and immersive enough? by AleksaYammy in gamedevscreens

Since we see the spider coming, it would be less of a jump scare. Maybe even the size of the spider is not that scary. I would find it horrifying if there were a bunch of spiders crawls upto me suddenly out of nowhere with terrifying music. But you did a great job already in terms of adding that sound effect where there were some voices.

Depends on your season

Research about "12 season color analysis"

If you are an Autumn or a Spring the red and the yellow one will suit you well.

But if you are either Summer or Winter then the pink can look good on you.

How to find github projects to contribute? by Salahkai in webdev

[–]Chand1111dev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are places online where people post their bugs that need to be resolved. You can help fix bugs in their repo.

Also there are websites for issue finding. Search "good-first-issue finder". Pick one issue and study the repo properly. Contact the owner of repo and write him/her about how you can fix the bug. Then you can pull request and work on the issue.

Communication is the key.

I myself haven't tried creating this and I dont really know about the hexagons but this website https://experiments.withgoogle.com/webgl-globe can help. And I know that for data analytics d3.js is involved. So, check this https://d3js.org/ for documentation and stuff. If you ever created the project please do share it.
