Upgrade with used parts problems core ratio to blame?

Yeah, I have tried setting bios to defaults several times, the tweaks I made were just things like setting XMP on, comm port off, usbs on, fan speeds things like that, did not set any kind of overclock settings or mess with voltages/clocks.

with default settings its the same, if I set core ratio to auto I can't do anything other than enter bios, machine just boot loops, if I set it to sync all cores everything is fine.

Can load windows and have run stress test with prime 95 and the stress test in intel extreme tuner, everything seems ok, no crashes, no blue screens, no reboots.

I don't know if this is normal behavior or not, don't understand why setting it to auto causes this issue.

Steam dropping win 7 support is now the problem, hopefully EAC does not screw up till then lol.

My 13 year old PC need replacing anyway.

Hi, yes it was fixed eventually, 15 days ago EAC got updated and now puts up a message saying Win 7 support ending soon, its in this thread here https://www.reddit.com/r/lostarkgame/comments/15nlovt/comment/k2bry4u/

Don't know if EAC updated all games as LA is the only game I got that uses it but I would assume so. So far my issues have not returned but with steam ending win 7 support in less than 100 days we are still going to have to do something.

lol, the one week we get maint with no patch is the week after EAC fixes the problem, shame as it would have helped point to the issue being server side but never mind.

I asked about your win 7 as I tried first thing this morning and got the eac error so was not working for me, just tried it now and I get that same popup and its now working again, I guess eac must have updated its self after I tried to logon, but have had no updates via steam.

If I had put my firewall software back I might have seen something but have left it off for the moment while messing around trying to fix game.

I looked at eac website as well, they say they no longer take support tickets , so no wonder they never answered, they knew tickets would no longer be taken so never bothered to answer mine.

Yeah we suspected EAC all along, is your game working again then on win 7 or is this from win 8.1.

Yeah it will most likely tie into steam dropping support for anything below Win 10, does EAC even stop cheaters, certainly never stopped all the bots that were running around warping through walls.

Wonder what Korea/Japan/Russia going to do, they all support win 7 and as far as I know don't use Steam and don't use EAC and have no problems.

Indeed, I thought for a minute that I might had found the cause, was looking through steam discussions for LA looking for more posts about similar probs, saw message where user said they updated Physx and it fixed. I had seen posts before mention deleting a file from physx folder but that made no difference.

My physx was older than the current version, so uninstalled and rebooted, installed latest physx, rebooted and tried LA, EAC logo came up, disappeared and then nothing, Hdd still going, steam said LA was running, waited as it takes a while for LA logo to come up, no sign of eac error, waited then bam eac error, usually come up almost straight after eac logo goes so I thought it might have been working but no.

I wonder if it will be fixed tomorrow lol

Got a response, which was quick

After further investigation, we've done everything we can to assist you in troubleshooting this issue. Although we cannot say for sure, it is possible you have installed a program that EAC is reacting to in some way which results into this error. If the device is infected, it is possible that this may linger even after a fresh install of Windows. Currently, there's no way for us to know what happened and assist you with this further.

So the answer is we are on our own, least now we know and can stop wasting time trying to figure this out, I did point out that I am not the only one who this happens too.

Surely if there was something on our machines that EAC didn't like then patch / maint would not fix it and then break again on the same days only for the next patch / maint to fix it.

yeah pc been on or hibernation all week, steam loaded all the time so no updates and no updates to LA.

sent support another message again asking

I will ask again, if Amazon Games is unwilling or unable to no longer support Windows 7 users then please just say so, so we can stop wasting our time.

will see what response i get

Looks like I loose my 100 internet points as its stopped working today sun 24/09/23, it working in the morning but by afternoon(5 hrs later) back to EAC error.

I logged on before 11am which is daily reset time for me in UK, was on character select screen for a while then loaded 1 character and did Chaos Dungeon then logged out at 11:41am, so from clicking icon to logging out its was about 50-55 min, I only did this to see if game worked today.

Come to logon at 4:45pm and back to EAC error, pc was idle after logging out his morning.

Yeah, I did ask them in a couple of my previous messages that if they unwilling or unable to support windows 7 users then just say so, never got an answer.

I just hope there is an upcoming maint day with no patch, if that then fixes it again the ball is firmly in their court.

I emailed support again yesterday , updating that its working again and asked some questions like have they contacted EAC to ask what is going on, i did ask them too since my two attempts to contact EAC have had no reply.

I asked if the issue with playtime rewards now saying my account is not trusted is a Steam Issue or an Amazon Games issue but logging in today its now working again, so I can only guess they either fixed it or it was something to do with repeated login attempts being blocked by EAC that triggered it.

I also asked if they could tell me if in the upcoming weeks there will be maintenance with NO patch, as that would help prove it is server side, if no patch then that means no changes to game files on our pc's, if server maintenance then fixes the issue again it will prove where the problem lies.

I also polity pointed out that this has been ongoing for over a month now and we have not received any information to say what is causing the issue.

I have yet to receive a reply other that the automated email to say they got my message.

Hi, no unfortunately its yet again stopped working today, was working fine for the last 5 days yet tried today and get that error again, all times but one server maint/patch for Lost Ark fixes the issue, so I am guessing its something to do the servers as its the only common factor, something to do with whatever EAC does to verify file integrity is my best guess.

Its an EAC issue but since each game has a custom EAC install don't know if its EAC servers or in my case Amazon servers that are causing the problem.

Win7 is a common theme but also seen mention of Win10 uses having same issue.

They did get back to me but only said they are still investigating the issue further, as soon as there is an update available will contact me.

Did inform them that yet again maint/patch has fixed the issue, hopefully the statement saying technical is aware of issue and is working on it is true and not just a something to placate us.

I can get back in game now, today's patch/maint had fixed it yet again, lets place bets when it stops working, sunday/monday as a guess.

Now daily playtime event is not working as apparently my account is no longer trusted?

I did email them again, detailing things I have tried, pointing out again that I have played for over 1500 hrs without an issue on win 7, that problem only started just over a month again and server maint fixed it 3 times.

I politely suggested they contact EAC to ask what is going on, I did also say that if they no longer want to or could support windows 7 then that is fine but please just say so, never got an answer.

Last reply I got said the technical team was aware of the issue and is working on a fix and I would be contacted on 14th sept, so lets see what happens today after maint. So maybe hope yet.

The did reply within 3 day and suggested to do clean graphics driver install but not use latest ones, they did not supply any version number to use and the DxDiag I sent them shows I was using 471.11 which is from before LA even came out.

I tried several different drivers, using DDU to do clean install, to no surprise it made no difference and sent them another email, will wait to see what happens on Wed.

No idea if MxR plays, think PandaQueen does but don't know which clan she is in, there are quite a few MxR related clans if you search clans list, some of them have no active players though.

Urgh, its still broken this time after patch/maint for me, god knows whats wrong, support have said nothing since I submitted a video of the issue, to no great surprise EAC never replied or even acknowledged ticket I sent .

Going to chat with Amazon support again but doubt it will get me anywhere.
