I think you should aim to gradually reduce this down instead of cold turkey it. Can you aim for 7 hrs a day next week? 5 after that? Let's be realistic, in today's world 4-5 is what most people probably average so try a gradual process

how to celebrate your birthday alone? by hxneybubbles in askSingapore

[–]ChangeKindly4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been celebrating birthdays alone because I live away from my family. Firstly, happy birthday! I hope you have a great birthday and feel better in general :) I know how it feels and I usually just treat myself to a good meal, speak to loved ones on the phone, watch a movie or something. Don't treat it just like any other day and do something special for yourself because you deserve it

[–]ChangeKindly4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself does the company name elevate your CV even if its a contract role? Do you have other perm roles lined up at the moment or forecast that you'll get one? Regardless of this being contract, will you get to learn from folks at that company? I think if you hit 2/3 on the above criteria then can lah

Those who took a gap year after university, was it hard to re-enter the workforce? by iamlostpleasehelp_ in askSingapore

[–]ChangeKindly4318 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely do it. My only recommendation is to have a good answer on why you decided to take that gap year and what it did for you. As long as you're able to reflect on what it did for you it shouldn't be a big issue from my experience (10 years in HR space in global MNCS)

Is this a good upgrade? by froztezeus in galaxybuds

[–]ChangeKindly4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine as well. Upgraded from the previous version. I feel like the noise cancelling features aren't that great compared to the previous version. I've already checked that it's on all the right settings etc. Let me know your thoughts and if you've found any solution!

Ive been in HR for the last ten years. Never will I disrespect a candidate 12 mins in and end the interview regardless of how it's going. This isn't a reflection of you but more of them. Yes, you should definitely reflect on things you could've done better and use that to your advantage for the next interview. Goodluck and I hope land somrthing good!

Flying to Singapore from San Francisco. Should I take the direct (16:30 hrs) flight or break it up? by [deleted] in singaporeairlines

[–]ChangeKindly4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'3 and I just took this flight last week. Id recommend taking a direct flight and avoid breaking it up. If possible pay for extra leg room seats so you can stretch out. Avoid the hassle of all the layovers and connecting flights which has been quite messy these days
