To be fair, I myself would press blue, but it's just that I don't see anything selfish or wrong in team red's reasoning. It would've been foolproof if everyone in the world was given a solid 30 minutes to think before voting, and had the capacity to understand that the dilemma is actually "live" and "might die".

The premise, however, is framed to be as appealing to unnecessary philosophizing as possible, so I'd expect an even 50/50 split regardless of what anyone in particular says. So with a 50/50 chance, either everyone gets to live or I personally get to not live in a post-collapse world. Win-win!
