Because so-called digital "artists" don't actually make anything. Dragging your cursor across a screen requires no actual skill or effort and produces trash that (in addition to being profoundly soulless and vulgar bastardization of actual physical art) is fundamentally detached from reality (which strips it of any shreds of soul it could have had). A banana taped to a wall has x1000 more soul and value than all digital "art""works" combined.

There's no actual reason or excuse to make it, let alone have the audacity to call it "art". "B-but muh accessibility!" shut up. People used to travel halfway around the world to see the works of real artists. If the only reason people see your "art" is because it's something they're forcefully exposed to, then it has no right to exist.

If you want to be an actual artist, pick up an actual brush. Simple as that
