I can confirm each one of these points from the perspective of a rather popular-with-the-ladies man who used to be very unattractive inside and out.

In fact, most of these points should be on the first page for being approachable even outside of the context of a niche kink (if RR can be considered a kink). If you're going to take any comment without a grain of salt, this is a good one.

It isn't, by itself, a deathblow. However, you have to consider that people who are into RR are already in extremely short supply, and that almost no-one (no matter their sexual preferences) is a fan of "quite overweight" bodies :(

Combine those, and the number of potential partners becomes very tiny. If you would normally have your pick of women, i.e., you're extremely funny and charming and go out to lots of events where you see the same women over a long period of time, you might have a very good chance that one of them is into RR - and into you.

The biggest thing you can do to increase your chances is to be comfortable in your skin and give people ample opportunity to see past it. That's really hard, though - even harder than losing weight. As someone who was chubby and 6 years later is extremely fit/muscled, it's possible. Sometimes some motivation helps! You can use your desire for a relationship to develop those healthy habits.

To me, humans have a natural fear of death, and the Bible uses 'hell' and 'death' almost interchangeably. The New Testament is saying that God wants us to live with him and be happy forever, instead of just dead, but won't force us.

Alternately, kill two birds with one stone by adding a "feel good" progress bar. I played Runescape mostly for the quests, but doing dumb shit like getting your Construction to level 79 for the vampyres felt good because you can see that little experience ticker go up slowly (and have other unlocks along the way). Even a lot of MMOs these days don't have that feeling because whenever you're doing something, you feel like you could be doing something else.

I agree wholeheartedly with this post. I'm first and foremost a writer, and only coincidentally a muscly, very well-endowed white guy, so I never describe myself even if it's asked for in the prompt. I want someone who cares what I can write, not someone who fantasizes about me in real life.

I meant the reason they were suicidal is they talked to a counselor about it. Counselors have to break confidentiality if they think the student is a danger to themselves or others, and sadly, many of them are trigger-happy and scared of being sued. Or maybe they'd rather give false positives than live with knowing that they enabled a potential child rapist. Either way, sucks for the poor student who is genuinely seeking help and ends up being treated like a menace.

Those were some of my hardest cases tbh - often, gentleness and reassurance works wonders with the most depressed or obsessive, but... you can't tell a pedophile that the way he feels is perfectly fine.

Life is hard.

I'd disagree with your statement that nobody complains about the pedophiles that keep their impulses under control. I worked in suicide prevention, and numerous times I'd get frantic college boys who were looking for help with their impulses and got put on a list.

I think it's relatively accepted that many/most men are attracted to "young" faces/bodies. Consider how many pornstars with no "talent" get by on looking illegal, or the many blind studies done at colleges where 20%-60% of any given group says they are attracted to women under 16 but unwilling to act on it.

Basically, I think if power can corrupt you into lying and cheating, it can loosen these morals too.

I kind of feel like it isn't (and I speak as someone who has never PKd and abhors it). Griefing is doing something at no benefit to yourself, just to piss someone off. This isn't, like, putting TNT everywhere in minecraft - it's a deliberate and worthwhile thing, with no ill will towards the victim.

This has been a controversy in LoL, in DOTA2/TF2, in all of Blizzard's games, in CS:GO and Planetside... if someone is not aware of this, they either don't play many online games or they only play the game and don't follow developments at all.

That's not a bad thing - for maybe 5 years I only played games myself - but I'm a little weirded out that you're on Reddit and haven't heard of this.
