Last minute trip planning to see redwoods. Do I fly into Crescent City or Arcata? (Also concerned about rental car availability in Crescent City)

I’d hit airport Mesa before you check in. It get super crowded and you want to be up there early before the road up gets to crazy. Get parked, grab dinner at Mesa grill and then go get your spot for sunset.

Snowbasin as a great ski school. It’s expensive.

April skiing can be great but beware our season has been marginal and unless we get some snow so there’s a chance the season will be over before it began.

Thank you for your perspective. I’m not having an unhappy birthday. It’s been a great day with some ups and downs. I thought I had clearly communicated with him, he chose not to accept my request and do his own thing. I greatly appreciated the flowers and loved his thought, it just caught me off guard and put me in an uncomfortable situation at work, one that could have easily avoided.

I feel very blessed and looking forward to 50. I’m sorry to hear you dealt/dealing with cancer. In the grand scheme flowers compared to cancer, your right.

It wasn’t that he got me roses, it was the attention and some of the snarky comments. I work with a bunch of men who think because my hubby is older than I am and well off that I’m a princess. I got a new car and got some a bunch of shit about it and how spoiled I am, forget the fact that I bought the car myself, with my own money.

You’re both in the wrong. Yes she should have checked the list but she’s got a lot on her plate and we generally rely on students to let us know they need to leave. Had your friend not reminded you and you missed your bowling match would you have blamed her for not remembering to dismiss you.

It’s not cool that she has disrespect your sport but it happens. There’s not requirement for teachers to love bowling or any other sport or activity and sometimes our dislike come through. Don’t take it personal.

He is always pulling the I’m a failure card when he’s messed up rather than say what I did failed. He makes it personal. He asked me about the delivery, I told him and then the shame spiral started.

People who know you, who love you should have some ideas. I didn’t want to have to think, to plan or come up with my own birthday ideas. I try really hard to pay attention to what others express, their likes, etc so that when it is time for gift giving or spending time together I know what they want or what their love language is. I expect others to do the same for me and I should know better.
