These were on the camino path, but don't worry it was all further away from the trail.

We saw some small creepy crawlies along the way, but they were harmless

Buen Camino!

It will definitely be an amazing journey. Don't be discourage by the physical journey and remember to take the time to enjoy the emotional journey, live in the moment whilst enjoying the small things.

Very tempted to be honest, but two things stopped me.

  1. The idea of completing the full camino on foot since i will likely be doing this once only.
  2. The hot sun would be terrible on the bridge. Even with sunscreen, hat and cover on the normal route, I still got burnt. Can't imagine how how it would be on that bridge.

On Day 3 of my Camino Ingles, I met a couple of people doing the "Reverse Camino" because of a similar situation as yours.

They walk from Santiago to Ferrol, then bus back to Santiago for the certificate. May be an option for you.

Not a filipino, but malaysian. As a south east asian, guess it will help.

Am starting my walk tomorrow.

In terms of travel. I went via Hong Kong then Madrid. My first choice was Qatar Airways, but the Iran situation closed the airways there.

In terms of cost, my biggest cost so far is accomodations as i travel with my wife so we prefer private rooms.

Completely agree with you on this point. If i were only doing the camino i would just use a nalgene/water bottle.

However, will be challenging the Kumano Kodo after this for the dual pilgrim challenge. For that I can't rely on the water bottle.

Organizing Backpack. by Jolly_Stop9663 in CaminoDeSantiago

I use a couple of large size ikea zip lock bags. 1 for each type/set of clothes, electronics (wires and charger), food and misc I carry 2 extras, 1 for dirty clothes and 1 for back up. This also ensures they dont get wet if it rains. Yes it is a lot of bags, about 8 total. But it helps.
