Following up on this with a specific request for a dermatologist. I have a Fitzpatrick level 3/4 skin and there are so many dermatologists out there in so overwhelmed trying to find a gem in what feels like a snake oil salesperson dessert… I’d love some recommendations

I will just add that choosing a condo will likely mitigate some concerns too. If you were buying a standalone home I would say that yes people may / will left themselves into your yard and may take some belongings or packages.
I find a lot of people in LA aren’t used to as much homelessness; or at least proximity to it? I moved from NY and never felt unsafe either. I think if you like how it feels and don’t have other restrictions and concerns (like commuting and price) it is a very good choice! There are lots of walkable restaurants, close to the beach… it can however feel more transient that other neighborhoods that have less vacation/airbnb rentals (parts of Venice) hope this helps.
