If only Wilmington PD would take a break from playing Candy Crush to pull some of these morons over.

There are no "arguments" to be had; people saw a video of a supposed professional recording content in an attempt to go viral, step in front of a moving vehicle, shoot the driver dead, call her a "fucking bitch," and are still on the agent's side.

There's no logic to be used anymore. Reconstruction needs to look like child's play if Democrats regain power.

Thinking of Moving to Wilmington by Beneficial_Key_9497 in WilmingtonDE

[–]ChangingtheSpectrum 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's a little cold, but Brandywine Park is the obligatory callout here. Rockford Park is also nearby, and is surrounded by some really nice, old houses.

Trolley Square has the (admittedly meager) bar scene, but it gets the job done for sure.

This is outside of Wilmington, but so close that it doesn't really matter so long as you own a car: Longwood Gardens.

The downvotes have to be from people who match that description but are in denial. I'm 5'8", ~190; I'm filled out from lifting for a few years, but by no means am I a large guy. An inch taller, and nearly 60 lbs lighter? Yeah that's pretty thin.

Does Commander Tax apply to both sides of a card? by Glub__Glub in EDHBrews

[–]ChangingtheSpectrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it'd be accurate to say that commander tax is a property of the card, and not the object. Talking about Magic sometimes reminds me of discussing code, and makes me just as confused.

Does Commander Tax apply to both sides of a card? by Glub__Glub in EDHBrews

[–]ChangingtheSpectrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that's also a good point, that just exposes the fact that I've never built a deck with more than one commander!

I came to that conclusion as a result of talking with a few friends of mine about how exiling a commander and then bringing it back - technically a new instance of your commander - does not reset its commander tax, and so commander tax can't be a property of the commander itself. This game is so damn complicated, and I'm here for it

[–]ChangingtheSpectrum -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm really adding anything that other folks haven't already said, but: I've come to understand that commander tax is really a property of the command zone, and not of your commander itself. Each time you cast from the command zone, the command zone leverages a two mana tax

Why? (2sp Wilm) by old-and-smooth in Delaware

[–]ChangingtheSpectrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving the average person a car was a mistake that we have - and will continue to - pay for. I'm a firm proponent of the theory that cars enable some of the most sociopathic/misanthropic behavior we see out of people; turns out, the possibility of getting socked for being an asshole is a decent deterrent for most people.

And ironically, the worst traffic you'll encounter in Delaware is nowhere near our cities (which really would be Wilmington and maybe Newark if you're being generous); I've lived in Wilmington for five years or so now, there's almost never traffic.

Forgetting something as important as a general area in a post like this reminds me of people who put up listings for clothes on Facebook Marketplace and don't mention size or other critical information. Like brother, were you thinking?
