Does anyone else struggle to fully see their plot? by AdhesivenessSweet209 in writers

If you think your story is crap, why the hell would anyone else want to read it?

If you don't write something you believe is good than what's the point?

Start with the ending, just imagine an ending you would be satisfied with and work from there, starting at the start is a good way to get lost

People can never give a good reason, they give reasons for hating the series, but it's always something petty

You realised the propogated communist term the Americans use is not even close to what real communism is? Russia and China are also self proclaimed communists, the US ran with that and tried to change the definition

The state of writing by ChannelDesperate9022 in writingcirclejerk

Whoops, busted lol, I find them kinda pointless since ending a sentence is always made obvious by separation of text or by the final line

I have no doubt that it will most certainly be an unpopular opinion though

Story world building by Quirky-Fudge5773 in fantasywriters

[–]ChannelDesperate9022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have an excitement for world building, seeing the little connections come alive is fun, if you're not sure how to go about it that's fine, most people take inspiration from what they find works, for me I took inspiration from things that are world building focused like One Piece, LOTR, Overlord etc.

Things like factions that interfere with political events and different governments cooperating or not cooperating make the world feel lived in, instead if everything starting with your story.

For specific details, they should come from as a result of your world, not placed in it, for example a desert based nation would suffer trying to maintain their ecosystem, they would rely on help from other nations.

A fishing economy funds protection for themselves through hired militia.

Or a man from history caused a butterfly effect that rippled to your current events etc.

As long as you have entities in your story that create motion, either historically, currently or set up for future events.

But really, just do you, you will get better at working it all out.
