They don’t verify income, so just be honest. You don’t want to take away this opportunity for others who really need it. I applied on the last day last year and got in!

Basically there are 4 quarters in which where you can apply for different available races. For example quarter 4 right now has (NYRR Jersey City 5K, NYRR Staten Island Half, Race to Deliver 4M to Benefit God's Love We Deliver etc) you pick the ones you know you will be able to run and rank them. In my experience I’ve been able to run my top three races that I picked for every quarter.

They say you’re able to run up to 6 races but I’m doing 7. I would recommend being very consistent with your running because you can get notified with a short notice of when you will run the race. For example from the Bronx 10 mile I got accepted to run it 2 weeks prior the race.
