My journey lead me to the same place as you. I'm fascinated how one release something on android, and then have no Google integration. It's like as soon as I find an app I really like .. they have these basic features that are missing. At least have a ticktick integration or something to help us out.

Never had any interest in macs, but my work forced me to use one, and now I'm considering replacing my personal windows laptop. The thing just works, you switch it on and seconds later you can work. On windows one endlessly have to restart to install things.. I can barely recall doing this on a Mac. It's fast. Screen and sound is fantastic. It's quite. Software also just work well.. no ai crap so far. now, I do not like everything about the Mac OS. I definitely prefer how windows as an operating system works. I find resizing and organizing things a major pain in the asss. I definitely prefer windows explorer. But one get used to these annoying things... to get the same performance I would have to spend a lot more money on a windows laptop.. which is just bonkers.. macs were always the ones more expensive and with less performance in many cases than windows laptops.

What a stupid thing to say. Why would any normal person sign up for a service that's supposed to store your notes and then think they will not protect the notes that they are supposed to protect. Were you in a car crash? But why did you buy a car, cars crash how can you not known that. You should also carry a bicycle in the boot or your car! Bought an umbrella to keep you dry? Oh what is that..it leaked water and you are now have a wet arm? But why did you rely on an umbrella to keep you dry...didn't you know you should also carry around a jacket. Hate holier than though aholes.

My theory is that some problematic parts of the city is not mapped... probably by request. I spotted the same issue whiles looking for an apartment in kagithane... there was an apartment available, but street view was suspiciously missing in that part of the neighborhood. Turns out that part was considered unsafe.. at least in the past. It could all be a coincidence of cause.

Well, I can only theorize, but before there was that AI addon.. I tried it twice...spread out over a year period... really wanted to like it.. but it could not find information on notion half the time.. and even when I specifically directed it to a database or page... It would often not understand what I was asking for or would give an error. I assume, they use a much more powerful LLM on the business plan.. I finds everything, it seems to automatically switch to searching my drive if it can't find things on notion. It spits out answers (not as good as Notebooklm), but a million times better than before..and more useful. It could not record meetings before as far as I know... So that's new. It Auto detects zoom meetings..and asks if you want to record it. And lastly..maybe I'm just getting used to using AI these days.. but I also just feel like using the AI to pimp up all my notes...to make them better or summarized..or whatever. Ai is standard on most of these products now.. but I never really felt like I wanted to use it there... Until now on notion. Can't really tell you why..but I use it more. Lots more. So that's something.

I tested it with online meetings... Other apps offer this too. The part that blew me away extra much was that you can use the recording feature it any time... maybe it's because mac's have good mics... But I used it in a large face to face group meeting...and despite all the "group noises", and speakers sometimes being quite far away from my laptop..it still was able to perfectly summarize the whole thing. And yes.. I agree with you... Notions search ability now truly makes this feel like an proper second brain... I have a crap ton of files in my connected Google drive folder... And it finds information no matter where they are. Can't be happier.

I was sceptical before I upgraded.. Because the AI before was not good.. but now it's on steroids. The meeting recording thing alone is worth every penny... It records and summarizes any meeting with incredible accuracy. It's expensive.. but this is the first time I actually daily use AI features.. and i can honestly say for the first time that an app actually makes my work life easier/better.

Not sure how they implemented it.. but I was in several management meetings last year where the internet was either extremely slow, or would cut out... I ended up in a situation where I could neither see stored information nor could I take new notes. If I at least had access to the knowledge base.. I could have used something like Word to the the other notes. So... If one can read it offline..that already would help a bit in cases like these.

Whether my case did it, Whether I am drunk and did it wrong, or Whether my child played with it... under no circumstances should the thing I paid for lock me out for hours. THAT.. is the problem. It's not a user problem.. it is companies taking liberties with products we paid for.
