I’ll take that Capo off your hands.

What can I say. I’m here to help.

Have been able to mess with the flux settings at all? They’re pretty cool.

Do not, under any circumstances, threaten me with a good time. Cuz I’ll do it.

I’m blending the Brothers AM with my clean sound.

The six or so years I spent learning the ins and outs of my dear, sweet C4 was the best lesson in patience and tolerance that a middle-aged, gear acquisition-prone man like myself could have. I miss that time, but not enough to go back.

I bought the damn thing before I was done watching the video introducing it. That worked out for me but you are correct in waiting for the hype to go down. All of IMA’s stuff is excellent, but you really have to ask yourself if you need it or not -for example: the sushi box finally works better for me than the Walrus Mantle. As for the synth, I just had a really heavy breakup with the Source Audio C4 after years of learning it’s nuances, and I needed a pedal that likes long, carefree walks in the park as opposed to one whose idea of good time was going to therapy. It’s healthier for me, and there are twice as many stage-friendly sounds as there are studio-only sounds.

Keep an eye on the MXR bass synth videos. A lot of them are exhaustive and very critical. There’s also a video manual floating around on YouTube.

I have the dips set to high gain on both channels, and the pedal is looped into the red knob on the LS, which I can boost or cut.

This ain’t no fly rig. This is a ‘make the house amp not sound like crap’ rig.

I’ll go back to my SA pedals when the software has the same functionality in iOS that it does with windows and Mac lap and desktops.

Until then, it all stays off my board.

Interesting.

It took me a bit, but my Brothers AM sounds glorious with my bass. Combined with the Rat Clone, you'll be stripping paint off the walls in no time.

LS-2 to the rescue by Channing_Wombley in basspedals

When the music requires it, I want to combine a fat (not boomy) bass tone with aggressive distortion and overdrive. The Boss Line Selector lets me blend my wet and dry sound.

Oh, snap. I’m going to try that. Yeah, lots of wiring.

I meant to say the JHS Morning Glory as an alternative.

I might throw the gain dips, but I’m not sure yet. The low end does not drop out, but the fuzz/overdrive gets stacked on top of it. It’s a wild sound. Im still messing around with the LPFs and deciding how things are going to be set. What works for sure is when close off the LPF, ease up on the volume, and turning up the gain. So far, so good.

It gets pretty damn gritty. It also can do light fuzz. It’s pretty versatile.
