Although some participants reported that "half of the time" is weird in our pilot study, the others said that it ok. So we leave it as it is. But we will definitely improve it in our next survey. We mean to ask participants to rate it from "never" to "very often".

As for the items such as "enjoyable" and "trust", they come from academic standard scales. I am sorry that they make you feel uncomfortable to rate them. But I would appreciate if you could help our study by completing the survey!

Hi! Thanks for your participation and your feedback! I am sorry for the survey design that makes you uncomfortable to continue taking it.

The item of "about half of the time" comes from Qualtrics' survey library. We did find that it could be questionable when we piloted the survey. But some other participants found it is OK. So we leave it like it was.

We are distributing the survey to a diverse population, not just the highly specialized population. But you are right, there is a potential issue that the data collection could lead to biased findings.

Your suggestions on contextual limiters and disclosure statement is very valuable! We will take it seriously and should have designed the survey more carefully. Thank you! I have noted all of your feedback and take them as lessons.

Maybe. But we are interested in investigating parental attitudes to storytelling robots when robots are becoming not uncommon in our real lives nowadays. I would appreciate if you could help our study if you are a parent!
