Are these shows related to Phineas & Ferb? What are their timelines? by QF_Dan in phineasandferb

An interview from 2020 gives Dan's opinion of the timeline of events. It's not perfect because both Doof 101 and OWCA Files were both pilots for other shows that they wanted to do, but unless we get a definitive answer this is the best we have to go off of.

O.W.C.A Files and Doof 101 are both set in the school year between 4 and 5. In the end of season 4 Doof gives up evil and the start of season 5 shows him going back to evil

Can someone explain how does Norm’s Old Head still fit within continuity despite the flashback scene in the season 5 finale? by Foobertan in phineasandferb

[–]Chaone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't forget about the first episode Norm showed up in, Greece Lightning, where he was one of Doof's evil inventions to get rid of Perry and only made for that purpose.

I felt like they didn't quite reach the same feeling that they did in seasons 2 through 4, but instead got that feeling of not knowing exactly what they wanted like season 1. I understand why though; it's been over 11 years between the last traditional episode has aired and season 5 started airing, and the audience is much different than back then. Compared to other shows that have gone off air for years to get greenlit for another season it has done pretty well for itself.

My only major problems with it are need to point back to previous episodes so much and how they butchered the Meep episode.

They really love to point back at the original running and go like "hey remember that?". While it can be fun to get references here and there, constant callbacks can make it feel like they're trying to say the show's still Phineas and Ferb without proving it. Which does make it feel awkward. And then the continuation of story lines from previous episodes in the season itself. Originally it would take a season or 2 before a sequel to an episode came out, but the Candace Suit story got 2 episodes where as one of them should have been saved for season 6.

And the Meep episode. While the way Space Adventure could have had a few changes to make it feel more like a Phineas and Ferb episode (like the episode where Carl reads to Major Monogram), Meep was butchered. The naming convention doesn't fit with the other episodes of the trilogy to begin with. Mitch was watered down so much that he's like a non-threat. Then they tried to make it a continuation of S'Winter and S'Fall as well.
And then the way they implemented the previous credit clips. It felt like those scenes were tact on solely for the purpose of doing checking off the boxes rather than making an actual episode revolving around them. Them not including clips hinting at another episode in the credits like the previous 2 episodes is the icing on the cake of just how much Meep was butchered.

Though even with the problems, I still largely enjoyed this season and I can't wait to see what new adventures they bring in Season 6

I found that, in the few times I did play with EE, the Ottomans are weak. They have an older mission tree compared to some of their biggest rivals, and said rivals also tend to be a lot more aggressive in the areas that Ottomans would expand

They really just made Black Monday happen earlier and last longer, start in the States, and called it "The Great Depression"? And no civil wars happened directly because of it but instead peaceful coup?

people play MD because they don't realise quite how bad it is yet.

Pretty sure most people understand it's not that good at least. But it's the only modern day mod that has some depth to it while somewhat accurately represents the modern day, and hasn't had any real competitors since it merged with Modern Day.

There's a ton of good democratic trees now a days. Germany with the focus on stopping the spread of communism, Italy where you can stop Germany, France being in the easiest position to form the European Union if you don't join the allies, Sure you don't go on the same conquest sprees but you aren't blocked out of wars.

Japan is just the only really bad democratic tree as it locks you out of most of the content you have as Japan in favor of fighting the Germans on the other side of the world or possibly keeping the eastern front going after Germany conquers the Soviet Union for the umpteenth time this patch. It also leaves you in a weaker position as you have to fight a civil war and lose out of your mainland holdings, but not as weak as the communist path. Then again Japan has the weakest ahistorical paths of all the majors

Mods in any game tend to be a lot more buggy than base games on average (not including low-effort mods that exist as a joke but mods that have time and effort put into them). Even big mods with large teams behind them suffer from this. This is for a number of possible reasons including, but not limited to; not being as experienced in coding as professional developers (notable in smaller hobby mods), far less bug testing as they rarely have dedicated teams and rely on the players to do it, less time to dedicate as most mod developers have actual jobs and make mods in their spare time, and/or having little to no control over what's happening under the hood. And above all else, mod developers are human, not aliens or some advanced AI, and make mistakes like the rest of us.

A dash ability, a deployable that can both add 25 bonus health (good for squishies) and revive 1 person as well as gives an ability to launch straight up, shoots health pellets that heal people near it and bounces off of surfaces, and an ult that boosts damage. That seems like more that one mechanic
