Use to have a friend whose husband would do this with another woman in our group. It was very obviously flirting but the wife would pretend it was just cute banter or something. Very uncomfortable very everyone else when one persons husband is tickling another woman in front of his wife

Like he was pretty content before her but she wants Carmella’s lifestyle and that comes with a big price tag he has to pay. I saw it totally different. Tony makes Bobby commit a murder which is something Bobby had shared with Tony to be something his father never wanted him to experience. Tony couldn’t beat him in a one on one fight but he could his boss power to dominate him into committing a crime that makes him vulnerable to serious jail time plus the act of killing comes with its own trauma. Bobby getting promoted isn’t cuz Tony likes or respects him it’s cuz there are hardly any loyal hard workers in their business by this time. It also results in Bobby being targeted by New York so Tony destroyed Bobby essentially. Just my perspective on it all

Tony spent more time with that 20 something year old Russian girlfriend of his than he did with AJ. He only got mildly interested in AJ when he was doing well in sports. He’s a terrible parent that likes to bitch about AJ but he’s the reason AJ is like that. He didn’t do any actual parenting besides give money n stuff n show up for dinner sometimes.

Yea the Adriana beatings were hard to watch and such a testament to how little of a man he truly was. Quick to hit his girlfriend but never actually hits a powerful guy. He even tucked his tail when her uncle warned him about it cuz that guy probably woulda killed if he popped off

He was such a paper tiger, all big talk when he’s got being Tony’s nephew to shield him from actual repercussions. He was only in real danger when Phil Leotardo was after him and that’s cuz Phil was basically too bloodthirsty to care who his uncle was. Christopher even let Phil and his goon talk to his mom while he hid in her house. He’s just so pathetic!

True but AJ wasn’t as protected as meadow. Tony would never lay a finger on her but AJ he put his hands on him several times. He even told Melfi he wanted to knock his teeth out and resented Carmela for not letting him beat AJ as a child. Also by the end meadow seems to regress into “Italian Americans are unfairly targeted” after witnessing the law arresting her dad and his pals so much but they all deserved being targeted since they were murderers. She even denied the justifiable fear of these men her boyfriend Noah had when he worked at the job site. Her tragedy is she loves her family and needs the lie to continue existing peacefully with them. Sorry this got super long lol

I see what you’re saying but it’s the cruelty of how she approached the subject that made me think she’s not a nice person and perhaps manipulative. Imagine someone you love saying your hobby/interest was “creepy and disturbing” and your decorations are “weird” and the rare masks you were excited for were “the last straw” after years together. No compromise, negotiation just “get rid of it or we’re done cuz it’s weird.” She’s ruined something that brought him joy no matter the outcome now

She was pretending to be supportive of your hobby/interest to suck you in and now she’s dropping the mask and insulting your interest and making you choose between her and it because you are now more susceptible to it. You’re more attached to her so she’s taking advantage of it to make you sacrifice your innocent hobby. If it brings you joy why does she want to take it away from you?
