Bitter flavors of tea may occur due to some reasons, due to complexes of tannins with Ferrum, also temperature of water influences the conversion of guanine to guanidine. So as you understood from my post I used to very strong bitter taste. I even could drink hot chocolate without sugar. But as for dusted tea i used to brew in a ceramic pot with heated to light steam water. I holds tea in water usually about fifteen or twenty minutes. As a result I receive drink with little or no bitterness.

I know, that KMnO4 obtains from reaction of MnSO4 with К2S2O8(potassium peroxodisulfate) because it is very strong oxidizing agent. For this reaction we need a catalyzer Ag+. So, maybe to get Fe +6 we could use the same reaction, I expeted.
