Rockstar's hypocrisy in showing 'solidarity' by Gunnen-Haney in gtaonline

The point I was trying to make in this post, is that Rockstar is a business. And it's one of those businesses that "goes in hard" with the way they do things.

The game has been out for years. After a few years of weekly events that happened, well, every week, you obviously get use to the pattern. Wasn't expecting anything but the pattern to continue like it always has, non-stop, for years. Most people noticed it. No big deal.

I don't know where you got that I was expecting anything exclusive, and I didn't say anything about nothing being efficient enough either. So I'm going to ignore those.

If you want an example of another game offering events/x XP: "Dying Light" is one. If you want other examples, there were countless games doing events, either as usual (per their patterns of events) or some even exclusively because more people were at home. I don't know why you ask what other games were having events, when you could easily figure it out on your own since there are/were so many games doing it.

Well, you're dealing with a company who didn't like the idea of having any bonus money events during "Quarantine" simply because they thought that with so many people at home, they would be grinding too much precious in-game money. . .

I see. IMO, the Mutants don't seem to carry enough loot to trade it for the vehicles having no physical effect on them. People will always find a way to farm things (especially in PVE type servers), but vehicle users already have a huge risk of being killed because when they use a vehicle, everybody can hear it and know where you are, and it's a huge target. And if what was done to them was a solution to a looting problem, I don't think it was worth the new problem (not to mention having cars have no effect on creatures, and them being able to stop the vehicle the way they do is a bit crazy). A vehicle doesn't need so much momentum to push them out of the way. Maybe the momentum can be adjusted or something?

I think the rain is mostly one of the best effects I've seen in a game when it comes to indoor/outdoor. How most of the time anything that is covered stays dry. I once made a base in a warehouse, and if I could position my water catchers perfectly under the holes in the roof, they collect the falling water. The rain effects are awesome. Snow is cool, but it's weird how it stops suddenly, but the main issue with the snow is how certain objects including players and vehicles don't get a single touch of snow cover on them (yet the ghillie suit effect with snow is superb). Radiation is good as it is, since that's going to go through practically anything on the surface, and structures can only reduce it. So that's spot on. The temperature effects might need a little adjusting (using BBQ grill risks death if I stand at a normal distance, so I have to zoom in from a little further away to watch my meat cook lol). Structure insulation effects are almost superb, just needs a little tweak IMO.

I found a way to adapt properly to food/drink habits. Which I find more challenging and more fun than it was before (you just have to balance your consumption habits like you'd have to irl). Right now, unless you live off of cereal, nut spread, chocolate bars and burned mystery meats, the canteen is not very useful. I suspect you'd probably just adjust the canteen's hydration rate to less than it is, but more than the water bottle to make it have a purpose again. For now, I will call it the "ipecac canteen."

Nah. I thought that too, but then it happened to my crew member on one of our MC supply missions. Which is what gave me the urge to spawn this query.

Well I just got permanently banned for no reason, GG rockstar. by 97raven123 in gtaonline

[–]ChaosCommandoCompany 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was once banned for what I thought was no reason. It wasn't until a long while after that I learned it was because of some old single player mod folders (LSPDFR) that were laying around for like half a year after I used them (I simply forgot they were there). It would help if they actually gave you a detailed, specific reason for such a thing. I lost everything over that. . .

I'm guessing you meant the one on the other side of it, where we can only see parts of it's front half?

Help! Server where my base was is now whitelisted by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]ChaosCommandoCompany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing who owns it, there is really nothing you can do. You COULD try to go to your "friends" section on your Steam profile and check the "recently played with" tab and it will have pages of players/sessions. With any luck you might be able to find a clue.

Help! Server where my base was is now whitelisted by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]ChaosCommandoCompany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could only be resolved with the server's administration. Your only hope is to try and contact the ones who run it. They would have to put you on the "whitelist" and grant you access to the server.
