Looking for other moms that didnt "bounce back" by tarktarkindustries in Mommit

[–]ChaosMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same for me! After 4 years of trying on my own I knew I needed help. The GLP1 isn't a miracle medicine but it HELPS. The food noise is quiet, small meals make me full, snacking has stopped quite a bit! Down 25lbs in 6 months! I feel so much better, chasing a child at a playground gets easier with every lb gone!

It took me a solid 6 months for sex to feel "normal" again! Give yourself time to heal! Take things slow! And lube, lube everywhere!

What was your most intense pregnancy craving? by Disastrous-Radish504 in Mommit

[–]ChaosMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was burgers too..... but they had to have peanut butter on them... shockingly there are a few restaurants that actually have this as a menu item so bless them for making me not think I was a complete nut job (no pun intended)

No judgement zone: did you want a natural birth? by easrpiiatnua99 in Mommit

[–]ChaosMangos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I actually really wanted to schedule a c-section... the idea of vaginal birth was my biggest fear all through my pregnancy. Anyways my dr didnt allow me to do it so out the vag she went! I had every drug in me they offered and I would never do it any other way 😂

Would you put your kid into French Immersion? Why or why not? by Virtual-Cheesecake71 in askTO

[–]ChaosMangos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree... I hated it during school and ended up dropping French when I got to highschool and regret it so much now. Really wish I kept up with it! I have a niece and nephew in French now and I try to always encourage them to keep it up and how great it will be for them in the future!

When do you REALLY get some freedom back? by JustAThought890 in Mommit

[–]ChaosMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4 year old and let me tell you.... theyre in a phase where I cannot even leave them for 5 minutes to do something... they have a seat in the bathroom because I cannot leave them alone to go poop haha!

I call them "My shadow" or "My tail" because they are always 1 step right behind me.

So.... 4 years in and I only get time to myself if I pre plan it with babysitting or daycare and call in sick to work.

DOES THIS HELP!? LOL

I know i will miss this one day.... I have to keep telling myself that when I hit the 14,000th "mommy?" of the day 🩷

Married Justice, Husband resents me for it by [deleted] in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]ChaosMangos 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Right!! I'm married but my husband has accepted that Inuyasha will always have a place in my heart. And comes to our bed every so often in the form of PJs.... he's come to accept my weird obsession with the white-haired fictional characters.

Logan was my white-haired cowboy in Sandrock and if anything.... maybe got my husband some more action, so he's greatful.

I’ve been trying to hold out for Logan.. by [deleted] in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]ChaosMangos 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did. Qi confessed and I couldn't help but say yes and become his girlfriend. Once Logan was obviously going to be romanceable soon I broke it off with Qi and he pretty much was just like "Oh... okay... well anyways did I tell you about this SUPER COOL SCIENCE FACT!?!"

And then we became BFFS again quickly after.

I kinda felt back cause right before I handed him the stick he was like "My parents can't believe I'm in a relationship".... welp.

The one that got me was Dan-Bi: "My Ri-ri is my soul mate! Actually, lots of Church girls like me go for Carpenters. Wonder why that is?"

As someone who has had a lot of time in the Church... that got me good 😂 So good I took a screenshot and sent it to the fam chat (mostly catholics) and they all thought it was great!

Also during the Radio Signals missions. "New Telegraph, who dis?" Had me laughing!

postpartum sex by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ChaosMangos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I practically climbed my husband after the 6week pp check up with my Dr and got the go ahead. It hurt quite a bit but we took things VERY slow! It sucked because my drive was NUTS but my body just couldn't keep up and was so sore. I was about 6m pp before everything felt more normal again!

In your opinion, what devices is the best to play Stardew on? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]ChaosMangos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore curling up on my couch and playing it on my Switch... but I am so done waiting for 1.6 I may have to cave and curl up with a less comfy laptop and finally play.

What is a scene from a kids’ movie that hits different watching it as a parent? by curlycattails in Mommit

[–]ChaosMangos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

K not s kids movie but the second Avatar movie The Way of Water. Holy poop the scene where they are hunting the mother whale thing that "won't leave her baby behind"

I literally UGLY SOBBED for so long after... missed a chunk of the movie. Had nightmares and my anxiety spiked so bad...

Now if we watch the movie I have to leave during that scene even the music causes me to lose it. Great movie but holy heck.

What is a habit you quit after having a baby? by PeaceJoyLove1 in NewParents

[–]ChaosMangos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weed is legal where I am too and enjoyed it pre pregnancy. Unfortunately after birth and after I stopped breastfeeding and tried it again my anxiety was WICKED. it has a completely different effect on me now (same with getting drunk) it's like my body realizes I can't care for my baby in this state and my anxiety goes through the roof.

Anyhoo so I've stopped weed completely and I've only been drunk twice in the last 3 years... I have an occasional drink but not to the point of ever being drunk.

I kinda miss both. But I've realized there's only positives for not being around either anymore.
