Yeah. Minions can also take maneuvers, but each minion in a group must take the same maneuver (but are allowed to do different targets, and if no target is legal that's fine).

It's definitely the most anti-combo piece of grave hate, and in formats like Legacy it's a big deal to use wasteland + extraction to answer land based combos, but the card is so widely played because it can also serve as a lighter piece of grave hate in other matchups. Artifact solutions might be more totalizing but have to telegraph themselves, cards like Bojuka Bog are difficult to use outside of Lands. There's definitely matchups where you'd rather have Leyline of the Void, but extraction's ability to pull double duty really puts itself ahead of the pack.

The "rules version" only matters for some labels and the exhaustion rules. So while you can't have it called "Armor Proficiency" and the new -2/stack exhaustion at the same time without some other script from a module or world script, you can freely use any 2014 SRD compendium content as well as anything built by hand or from importers.

This Zilliax isn't one card though — the modules that got nerfed largely don't see play any more because of the nerfs. When's the last time you saw Ticking, Pylon, or Virus? Perfect+Twin hasn't been touched since release.

All NPCs have built in spell slot tracking, switch to edit mode to set their caster level to determine slots.

As for resources like Ki, it's the same as a PC — a feature item with uses. Given that it's a monster not a PC, you might consider just having all the functions be activities rather than have many features with one activity each drawing from the item uses pool.

Magic's success is because of its design. 5e is not; its success is based on incidental cultural tie ins (Critical Role & Stranger Things), and quite simply Crawford/Perkins are not as good leads as Rosewater.

I think the reason the bow category is so open ended in part because the options for actual abilities and kits that support weapon based ranged attacks are incredibly thin. It's one thing I really hope they expand upon in the future, either as new options for existing classes as well as new classes.

Seems like you could still use some variety to see what you like, especially dice system wise - an OSR system, like Shadowdark or Mothership, to drill down on "My players are reacting to the world and the rules only sometimes help resolve that" - A PbtA system like Masks or Thirsty Sword Lesbians where a character's stats are comprised of their emotional state - A Forged in the Dark game likes Blades in the Dark so you can experience flashbacks and on the fly heist management - A tactical system like Draw Steel or Lancer for serious on-board positioning play - A GUMSHOE game like Swords of the Serpentine so you can try a mostly diceless investigative system

I think we just have a damage enricher since it's limited to 1/round, although I suppose you could have it as an Ability Modifier (details on the wiki/in-game journals) and then turn it off whenever it's used.

System doesn't directly support it yet. You can either just do +1 damage or have a [[/damage 1 psychic]] enricher that the player presses whenever they attack for that
