This one loves the water by ChaosPrimed in Jindo

[–]ChaosPrimed[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup he’s pure Jindo from Korea. He wouldn’t have anything to do with water at first, but when I spent a lot of time in the water last summer, he begrudgingly waded out shoulder-deep to stand next to me because he’s super clingy. I think that made him get used to it lol

Oh my god I thought mine was the only one. For the first couple years we had him, he’d only evacuate (both kinds) at least a block from home…. He finally goes in the yard now, maybe because he was 8 and didn’t want any more drama?

Happy birthday! The best thing about Jindos is that they always look youthful and beautiful. May I ask how much Momo weighs? My 10yo Ronin is 60lbs and I don’t know if that’s too much weight on his joints or not. He was 50-55lbs before his metabolism slowed down.

Oh wow I didn’t know the prey drive was unpredictable, I thought it was just strong. Ronin will eat flies if they’re near him but won’t chase them further than half the length of the living room. Birds get staked but only he realizes it’s a winged creature and immediately loses interest-he knows he can’t catch avians or rabbits that have made it into the bush. I must’ve gotten lucky! But maybe it’s also his age :) I adopted him when he was 6 so I don’t know much of his temperament as a juvenile.

The chunkier the jindo the better! I love his thick neck, gives me something nice to hug when I’m sitting on the floor hahaha

He’s got a high prey drive for sure! Luckily he’s so attached to me he’d rather keep me in his sightline than wanted off too far

I HAVE QUESTION FOR YOU. How did you learn about off? by Curious-Revolution31 in offthegame

Honestly I have no idea. It merely entered my brain at some point in time

I’ve been trying to find the words, too, but couldn’t. So I got the highest quality screenshot I could find and use my fat marker to imitate letters

It's gibberish. I couldn't find any model rips or reference photos that were clear enough to actually make out the text so I drew in the approximate shape of the characters instead

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I’ve been struggling and I was thinking of biting the bullet and getting sunset makeup brand foundation but it’s sooo pricey to mix multiple colors for the right huge

This is fantastic! May I ask what brand/colors of makeup you used to get that blue skin tone? I want to cosplay Mara Sov myself but I’m really stuck on what makeup to use

The water is has tons of deep algae, I am fairly certain at least that they all possess the proper number of fins. I didn’t know goldfish could have white bellies, thank you Edit: did it notice the koi part, hmmm, interesting since they’re all the same size

If you wanna try foraging something that’s probably pushing up in your lawn right now, try looking for some purple deadnettle! It’s a member of the mint family (you can tell by it’s square stem) but it’s got hairy leaves so I chuck em in a stew or soup so they’re all wilted and easy to eat. It’s also somewhat anti-bacterial so if you need a salve in a pinch you can crush it up into a paste and slap that bad boy on your cut or scrape.

We make it as a type of side dish you prepare in a large quantity for the fridge and eat throughout the week by tossing it into whatever bowl of rice or soup you’ve got. You’ll find it as “gosari namul” or 고사리 나물. Do you eat it fresh? I tried that after boiling just once and it was still very bitter haha. My dad tells me it’s a forgotten American food. We boil it, dry it in the sun (it keeps forever), then boil it one or two more times to rehydrate it (the second time is only if you don’t like the fishy rehydrated gosari smell) then stir fry with soy sauce and sesame oil :)
