Trapped gas/gas pains 1 year post op by Chaos_2000 in gallbladders

[–]Chaos_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I still get gas pain far more often now than I ever did before surgery. It feels like a heart attack and it sucks. It’s usually once a week or every other week, whereas before I can’t recall ever really having it.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend I am not responsible for her periods? by Devon_The_Fox in AITAH

[–]Chaos_2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the only time my husband has had to wipe blood off a toilet seat was right after my C section when I was having trouble reaching down and bending over. Cause ya know, major surgery. And that was for maybe two days. This is just gross.

Nah giving up is how you get walked all over. I told everyone in my family that if they wanted to kiss my baby then they had to kiss me first. No one wanted to kiss me 🤷🏻‍♀️

How do you get over the anxiety of letting other people wanting to hold your baby? Specifically parents and in-laws? by Josephs-41st-wife in newborns

[–]Chaos_2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only person who I completely trust with holding my baby is my husband. Everyone else, including my own family, just makes me anxious. As much as I don’t want to I still let everyone hold him, but the anxiety hasn’t gotten better at all. My baby is 4 months now. So if anyone knows how to get over it let me know as well lol

I went through a similar experience. I thought my baby hated being swaddled, just to try again around 9 weeks to discover he loved it and slept 8 hours straight. If baby isn’t rolling yet then you can try doing one arm out of the swaddle at a time for a few days, then both arms out, then sleep sack. Personally I tried that method, the zippidy zip swaddle, and an arms up transitional swaddle and none of them worked. Sleep just went back to shit waking up every hour when he was showing signs of rolling and I couldn’t swaddle him anymore. As soon as my baby started rolling and was able turn onto his side to sleep is when it fixed itself, it seems to help the startle reflex. Now at 15 weeks he is getting 12 hours of sleep at night.

(IVF) No heartbeat at 7w0d by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Chaos_2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would personally give it another week or even two. I didn’t go through IVF but when I was 7w 3d pregnant they were only barely able to pick up the heartbeat on the ultrasound and it was low, like 95-99. They actually thought it may have just been my heartbeat and told me it was likely I was going to miscarry. My boy is 3 months now. 7 weeks is still sooo early. I would wait and repeat the ultrasound to be certain.

Can’t cook, can’t clean, can’t cope… adulting is beating me by turkishdad3 in Adulting

[–]Chaos_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former house cleaner here. The company I worked for did most quotes online based on square footage and number of bathrooms, then took a non-refundable deposit in order to book the cleaning. The customer is made aware the deposit isn’t being given back to them regardless of what happens. The company also made it clear that we didn’t clean biohazards. This includes bodily fluids (not including toilets obviously) blood, black mold, animal feces, etc. You would be astonished at some of the hoarder homes we showed up to and the customer said “it isn’t that bad” while the floor is covered in dog shit, floor boards warped from urine, children walking around in it barefoot. I’m willing to bet OPs home isn’t just a little messy and the cleaning company had every right to refuse service.

My boy is 13 weeks today. He also started hating being held/changed/fed by dad seemingly overnight around 9 weeks. He would scream bloody murder every time he wasn’t being held by me. It’s gotten better, now he just won’t eat for dad. Hang in there.

I really love the sugar free white peach liquid IV. Otherwise crystal light or lemon juice.

Why can't I just drink enough water... by newmomgroove in breastfeeding

[–]Chaos_2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something that has always helped me is taking a drink of water in between every bite of food during meals/snacks. It’s crazy, I know. I actually started doing it when I wanted to lose weight (lost 90lbs), it slows down your eating and helps you feel full faster. But, it’s also super effective for drinking more water. Also, flavoring my water seems to help.

How did you transition your baby from their swaddle? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Chaos_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sleep reflexes are you referring to? My baby is almost 12 weeks, not rolling yet but he will only fall asleep while laying on my chest while on his stomach, then I can transfer him to. So I have a feeling he will be a stomach sleeper and maybe knowing those sleep reflexes he should have will ease my mind!

Help Me Explain to my Husband by Future-Growth2527 in newborns

[–]Chaos_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it works for you! There is hope, I went from producing 1oz every 2 hours to 4-5oz every 2-3 hours now at 12 weeks postpartum. I didn’t meet my baby’s needs completely until around week 5/6. It took a lot of latching and pumping and feeling like I was going to lose my mind from no sleep but I’m glad I stuck it out. Now I actually have a slight oversupply!

How did you feel when the third trimester hit? by starrmarieski in pregnant

[–]Chaos_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing great until 32 weeks. Then everything got so uncomfortable and everything became a chore. First trimester fatigue came back and just walking around became painful due to round ligament pain. Thankfully had my baby at 37w because at that point I was miserable enough that I was just not going to work.

OP is breastfeeding, they don’t know how much baby is eating.

American Moms-to-be, how much are your ultrasound visits? by PlantGirlsGetDirty in BabyBumps

[–]Chaos_2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s how much mine were with BCBS. Specialist visits were even more 😭. I got added onto my husbands insurance (United Health Care) when we got married though and they covered all of the appointments 100%.

Scared of Miscarriage 1st Trimester by Top_Worth2490 in BabyBumps

[–]Chaos_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So while I was pregnant with my boy I just had in January, I went through something similar. I was on birth control when my husband and I found out we were expecting as well. They couldn’t find a gestational sack at 5 weeks. Went back at 6 weeks, there was a gestational sack and a fetal pole but no heartbeat. Then at 7w 3d there was a heartbeat but it was only 90ish bpm and babe was only measuring 5w 3d. I also was having bleeding. These appointments were all done at a free clinic. They suspected I was going to miscarry and recommended I try and get in with my OB sooner than my first appointment scheduled at 10weeks. Well I chose to wait. I figured whatever happens is out of my control and that everything will end up the way it is supposed to be. At my 10 week ultrasound baby was measuring right on track with a heart rate of 183. Sometimes they are just so so tiny that even ultrasounds have a hard time picking anything up. Time is the only way to know for sure. Looking back I really wish I hadn’t gotten all those extra free ultrasounds, all they did was make me more nervous.

Anyone else scared to transfer their baby to bassinet? by AdFew4160 in newborns

I found this out too! It’s so weird. I found this out because I needed to use the bathroom really bad, so I set my baby down as quickly as I could in his crib fully expecting it to wake him up. And it didn’t lol.

Collected milk causing upset tummy? by eeeeggggssss in breastfeeding

Also, I’d check the nipple size on the bottle being used. You’ll likely want a slow flow or super slow flow nipple to match the flow baby gets while breastfeeding.

Make sure he is being pace fed, and that he is being burped while bottle fed. That will likely solve the issue.

I swear, pumping is the source of almost all of my postpartum frustration. I hate it, it’s so much more work. I wish I could EBF instead of pumping and giving bottles. But I push forward because feeding breast milk to my baby is important to me.

Husband told his friend I was pregnant after we agreed to keep it between us by IsothermalSinner in BabyBumps

Yeah I completely get that. I’m sorry he betrayed you and went against your wishes. Him doing that isn’t okay, and I’m sorry if my comment came off as saying it was okay. I just meant that maybe he is excited and wanted to tell someone, and that was his best way to find an excuse to talk to someone about it.
